Dear George and Dick,

I apologize (not really, you don’t deserve my apologies) for the familiarity, but I don’t call the people responsible for my son’s death: Mr, or Sir, nor do I have any respect for the offices that you have defiled. The only thing you both mean to me is pain and devastation. George and Dick, you are both shameful cowards who are sending our brave young people to die to make yourselves and your buddies unbelievably and fabulously wealthy. Neither of you have any idea of the true human, sorrowful cost of war nor do you care that you are ruining lives by the thousands and thousands. You both disgust me beyond belief. You are not, never have been, and never will be my President or Vice President.

This is what your irresponsible and reckless policies took from me: One year and four days ago my son, Casey Sheehan, was one of the consequences of your lies and betrayals. One of the tens of thousands that your arrogant, pre-emptive, imperialistic policies have killed. I don’t know how any of you can sleep at night...I know I can’t.

I have wanted to write this letter for over a year.

We know the intelligence leading to the war was "dead" wrong and gleaned from a known liar (your administration likes liars...familiarity, and all), so I have a question for you...

Why are Americans and Iraqis still dying every day?

Then, George and Dick...you both go around spewing the lying filth that "freedom is on the march in Iraq." Well, I have a challenge for both of you: if you believe in freedom so much in Iraq...then send your own children over there to fight and perhaps die in the occupation without the proper training, equipment, food, water, supplies, armor, or protection. If you aren’t willing to send your own children to die for this most grievous bull-crap, THEN BRING THE REST OF OUR CHILDREN HOME...NOW!!! The definition of a just war is one that you are willing to have your own children die for. Apply the definition. Then send your own children if you believe this aggression is just...if not THEN BRING THE REST OF OUR CHILDREN HOME...NOW!!!

Do the right thing and BRING OUR TROOPS HOME, NOW!! Not one more drop of blood, not one more penny for this travesty. Do not let our other children be killed for the ephemeral and ever changing "Mission." My son’s death will have meaning and not be in vain if it is for peace: if our troops are withdrawn immediately from this abomination that is Iraq.

I dare both of you to do the honorable thing and read about my son...my first-born...my pride and joy...my love...I wish you would read it and weep, but I know neither of you give one flying flip about me, my family, or Casey.

I pray that either one of you, or both of you, grow a vestigial conscience and pray for forgiveness for the killing that your ignorance and arrogance have caused. One time I ran over a kitten and killed it and I was devastated for days...how do either one of you look at yourselves in the mirror? How do you live with the fact that so many innocent people are dead because of your beliefs and actions? I know I couldn’t. I know I would have a hard time living with myself if I was responsible for one death, let alone legions of deaths. I really hope someone grows some courage in the House of Representatives and you both are impeached soon.

Again, I reiterate. Celebrate the new found "Culture of Life" in your hypocritical administration. BRING OUR TROOPS HOME. NOW!!!

Do I sound angry? You better believe I am. My son’s future was stolen from him. My future with my son is now gone. I never even got to say good-bye to him.

  • Sad story. But why did she allow her son to join the military? There are plenty of alternatives! And her son might have brought the same misery to an Iraqi mother!

    Do American think the Iraqis don’t have sad feeling about their relatives murdered, tortured and imprisoned?

    Still, my condolences to her, but I don’t understand her points!

    • Her son joined the military because he wanted to defend his country and its people. This is a noble ideal. Just because the American "leadership" lied to the military and the people, and lead them into a war of agression, does not mean that the soldiers were not following that ideal.

      I could not join the military of my countries (I am anglo-swiss) due to an injury sustained in my youth; I have a twisted and short left leg. Instead I am a member of the civil defence, helping to protect the civilan population of the country I live in from catastrophe or nuclear accident or war. I am following the same ideal in a way that I can. In a way I can understand Cindy Sheehan’s son better than I suspect you can. Look to your own ideals before you attack those of another!

    • Did you ever questioning that it is not justified to kill Iraqis! Are you a racist?

      Do you think if Americans committing war crimes they can’t be blamed. At the same time the accusing other nations of war crimes or crimes against humanity.

      What is the difference between an American murder or a murderer of another nation.

      I have really hard times to read or listen what you, your government and your press stand for.

      Remember the commandmends: We shall not kill, We shall not steal...

      Yesterday we were watching a history film about Nazi war crimes and crimes against humanity, it happened afterward that we watched Fox news were the showed "America in search for insurgency".
      All of the Iraqi civilians were ambushed without any warrant during the night, it appeared that all of
      them were old, women or youngsters. The American Nazi troops tied the youngsters up and left them blindfolded for torture through their Iraq counterparts.
      Now the similarities between what we had watched before became very obvious.

      War protestors, including Cindy Sheehan, call for President Bush to remove U.S. troops from Iraq. As an anti-military activist, Cindy Sheehan is desecrating the memory of her son Casey who was killed in Iraq, and destroying the legacy for which he gave his life. At one point it could have been argued that she was simply a pawn of the Radical Left, but she has since become a major player. I don’t think she realizes that a withrawal from Iraq would directly cause the deaths of millions of innocents and the terrorists to regain control of the region. Pacifism does not create peace, but rather allows the terrorists to continue their reign of terror. The perpetrators of evil must be removed from power and those that stand in the way of that end are aiding and abetting the enemy.

  • Estimates of 50,000 Iraqi Civillians Murdered.
    Directly, in their own country, in their own home, without having being involved in any military activity.
    And people wonder why their fathers and brothers are terrorists?
    They must be evil people right? These human beings. Real evil. So evil that they blow themselves up in their own cause for justice.
    Better kill more of them. Better kill everyone incase they are evil terrorist people.
    Real evil hides behind false justifications. Real evil are humans who believe they have a right to judge the fate of others, and to condemn others. Who believe they are better than others, and seperate themselves from them.

  • I really feel for you. But do understand that Bush is well..the antichrist.   • The thoughts and opinions of media whore Sheehan don’t necessarily represent those of who won’t lay down and surrender to a bunch of scumbag Islamic psychopaths. In fact, we think she’s a lose of the highest order. I guess Cindy forgot that it an ALL VOLUNTEER FORCE. He was there because he wanted to. Are incoherent rants by a woman who sounds half-insane what her son would have wanted? I have my doubts. How many more lies does Sheehan have to be caught in before people figure out that she’s nothing but a professional protester, and a bad one at that.

    • Casey would have been so proud of his mother....he was such a kind and gentle person...too bad he listened to all of the propaganda and thought he was going to do something good.
