George W. Bush on President Clinton not setting a timetable for exiting Kosovo

“Victory means exit strategy, and it’s important for the president to explain to us what the exit strategy is.”
George W. Bush, 4/9/99:

“I think it’s also important for the president to lay out a timetable as to how long they will be involved and when they will be withdrawn.”
George W. Bush, 6/5/99

Speaking to a captive audience of soldiers at Fort Bragg, N.C., June 28, President George W. Bush resorted once again to his favorite lie to justify the invasion and occupation of Iraq. Five times he explicitly linked Iraq to the 9/11 terrorist attacks even though all credible sources say Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.

He delivered this Big Lie speech because his administration is desperate. Iraq pours out a litany of bad news making Bush’s cheerful “stay-the-course” bromides sound like a loud belch in church. Polls show 60 percent of the people favor bringing all or some of the troops home. A June 28 poll found that 53 percent now believe the Iraq war was a mistake.

Even Republicans who initially backed the war are having second thoughts. Republican Rep. Walter Jones of North Carolina has joined with Democrat Dennis Kucinich as co-sponsor of the “Homeward Bound Act.” At last count, 64 lawmakers have joined Rep. Maxine Waters’ “Out of Iraq Caucus.”

In his speech, Bush said a timetable for withdrawal “would send the wrong message” to U.S. troops that they will be pulled out “before the job is done” and to insurgents that they can “wait us out.”

Bush is ignoring history. The Iraqi people have fought invaders and occupiers for centuries. They have a rich history of political and social struggle and are skillful strategists. They ousted the British imperialists and they will oust the U.S. as well.

Our soldiers are targets in a war that should never have happened. The best way to support them is to bring them home now. Reparations, starting with the corporate war profits, must be paid to rebuild Iraq from the U.S.-inflicted devastation. If the Iraqi people decide they need United Nations or other assistance with rebuilding or security, they will ask for it. But the U.S.-led occupation is the root cause of Iraq’s misery. Ending the occupation is the cure.

Write or visit your senators and representative during the July 4th recess. Ask them to bring the troops home now

  • Can you say "mealy-mouthed hypocrite?" I knew you could! Either that, or his brain is so rotted by alcohol, cocaine and Karl Rove, that he can’t remember what he said 6 years ago.

I even have a good idea as to who can pay the reparations: Halliburton, the oil industry, weapons manufacturers specialising in DU weaponry, the Bush family and all their friends, will do for starters. Hit them where it hurts, and they will have second thoughts about repeating their wars next time around!

    • I sometimes believe that GEorge Bush suffers from manic-depression, or even schizophrenia.
Here are some symptons of manic-depression:’

For many people, signs and symptoms in the manic phase may include:
Feelings of euphoria, extreme optimism and inflated self-esteem
Rapid speech, racing thoughts, agitation and increased physical activity
      Poor judgment
Recklessness or taking chances not normally taken
      Difficulty sleeping
      Extreme irritability
      Suffering from delusions, hallucinations
      Seeming to hear voices (God’s)

This seems to fit Bush’s extremely active Ft. Bragg appearance: smirking, smiling, grinning, strutting, swaggering, gesticulating, looking appealing at audience for confirmation of being liked, etc.

    • the residents speech was a ploy as were many in WW II public display to evoke an emotional empithetic connection to the fear based of slave followers. He is making this appeal to provide "false reasurances" this is a common CON-man technique of "working the mark" with "pleasentries and imagery" to refocus the mind on the propaganda message and to reenforce it in the mind of the mind controled audience that would even consider listening to it. The man will not anwer letters, questions, calls, emails or almost any direct form of personal information exchange from anyone. This is a trait of a controled psycholocal puppet "mouth pieace" for the geopolitcial military corporate oligarchic elitist slave trading economic controls of slave following worshipers of money and the mind control scheme behind the entire capitalistic lie of prosperity, entrepenours, and hard work, and perseverence all of which these poeple know nothing of. Their entire system is a fabrication of lies, economic domination, miltary threats, and fear mongering

And you actually believe these people will answer your questions, or speak to your concerns.

They are possibly medically and psychologcially "impaired" as many were in the Third Riech. They are seeming pawns of the corporations and money changers. IF you believe that they are decent folks being decieved then you need to check what happened to the Jews when they complied with the last great facist / nazi regime that lied their way into power in europe. If you continue to do nothing. You will end up as many who also complied in Germany. Dead or suffering under the oppersions of the coming totalitarian tyranny. Your time is up. And the BUllSHit has put in his own speical police powers as Hitler did and they are secret as the SS was and their power is extensive. And it is not under the direct control of the people. It reports to the Multinational corporation investment class of profit taking war makers, the fuerher himself. Heir BUllSHit.

If TRUE accountablity leaves the process at any point in the transaction. Then the transaction is turning into a CON, a lie.
