God Sitting in your lap: Zarqawi dead?

The famous mystery writer had a great expression for amazing luck: "It’s like having God sitting in you lap"

The news came this morning,as we all know, that coalition forces dropped two 500 pounders on a safe house North of Baghdad...and killed al Qaeda’s #2 man for the third time...Zarqawi!

If true, this is great news for the innocent Iraqi citizens, many of whom were beheaded and killed or maimed in the past by Zarqawi’s actions. But....

What if it’s a scam? There are a few observations I’d like to make.

1.Bush’s poll numbers are in he toilet, and the Haditha incident (among other horrors) continues to dominate the evening news stories, making things all the worse for our president and his minions. The killing of Zarqawi will undoubtedly override those stories now, and give Bush a breather he so desperately needs. Many Iraqis are dancing in the streets today (just as they did in the past when Zarqawi was supposedly dead).

2.The very day that the Iraqi government appointed it’s new Defense Secretary, an insider tip is given and the coalition drops the two 500 pound bombs and kills Zarqawi. Just coincidence, I guess, but great PR for our side...and we can really use it!

3.When you drop 1000 pounds of bombs on a house, leveling it completely, it’s hard to imagine how you can then extract a clean, uncut, unbloody and recognizable body and face, and are able to take legible fingerprints as well!..just dumb luck, I guess.

God has truly been sitting in Bush’s lap today. I believe in God, but have some doubts as to his actions when it comes to George. Just commenting, that’s all.

    • The guy had a 25million dollar bounty on his head....do you think someone would not turn him in for the chance to live like a king for the rest of their lives? When they announce that they paid out the bounty, I will believe he is dead.......but it does not change anything really, except the American taxpayers are 25million dollars poorer.

      Zark-man is no more. I think the "insurgency" sold him. I think he was dimed. I think someone got on board the gravy train and now has a nice seat in the new iraqi government as a consequence. Some Sunni is sittin’ pretty.

      Z-man was an icon. Now he is dead and I heard they are sending his pistol to George Bush as a souvenir.

      I heard Z-man was a queer and that he had AIDS. Well, Allah probably has some fine boymeat for Z-man. Its in the Koran.

      The "insurgency" is getting ready to join the Iraqi government. Z-man was baggage. Bush seems to have won. But the war was "illegal" , right? Riiight.

      Not if you write the History books and Z-man and his boyz wont be doing that now, will they. They got an absolute TROVE of names and addresses and coputer stuff and financial records when they went through the rubble of the house. Expect some quick follow up on that and more al-Qaeda going in the toilet. Not to mention the seven OTHER al-Qaeda whack jobs in the rubble. They wont be back either.

They will orchestrate a responce by AL-CIA-DUH this will give them the pretext to launch anouther invasion for OIL in Iran.   • Also mentioned briefly-and-unemotionally in the news article was that a woman and young child were also killed in teat bombing atack. More collateral damage. Slaughtered without a trial (how guilty can a young child be?)

  • How many times must the bush dictatorship throw out the “we got the bastard…no wait, we missed him…but he’ll be dead meat next time” statement like fishermen throwing out a hook with a worm on it and reel in the american public like trout before the"fish" start using their brains and stay away from the bait?
    By constantly being suckered by these lies, the american people are demonstrating to bush that they are brainless drones and deserve to be treated with contempt and abused.
    It is every dictators wet dream to rule over people who are incapable of exercising independent thought and logically evaluating whether the information that they are receiving is true or false and walk into the same traps over and over again.
    Never holding bush accountable for his lies is like giving him an invitation to continue that behavior or worse.
    Zarqawi was either killed years ago or never existed at all except in the schemes of the CIA/bush neocon regime and the minds of the slow witted and easily frightened members of society.
    Has no one thought or wondered how someone who was hit with two 500lb high explosive bombs could leave behind enough of an intact face that looks so peaceful in death?
    The photos being shown as “proof” of Zarqawi’s demise could be several years old or of someone that is claimed to be Zarqawi but is not.
    One lesson that most americans should have learned is that bush and his regime are pathological liars and that nothing they say can be taken with a grain of salt.
    It is nothing more than the latest psychological operation being conducted by bush to gauge whether the american people are still ignorant enough to be taken in by his amateurish propaganda.
    As long as they say “We got the super-terrorist in Iraq…no wait, we missed this time…but by golly we’re gonna blow him to kingdom come next time” or manufacture another super-terrorist to replace the no longer frightening Zarqawi, bush has his pretext to keep u.s. troops stuck in Iraq.
    And as long as the public keeps lunging at the bait and getting hooked and pulled in, bush and the neocons will never stop catching and eating the american people for dinner.
    Zarqawi is the latest real world manifestation of the fictional “Immanuel Goldstein” from George Orwell’s “1984” and is serving the same purpose.

      On the upside, the next time bush’s polls drops below 25% and the next Haditha or seven are in the news, or the next katrina rolls around, or whatever the next disaster demonstrating total incompetency or sheer evil on the part of the bush gang, they won’t be able to play the Z card again. Have to find a new scapegoat. Already dead bin Laden is about the last one they got left.
