Students Call NZ To Speak Out On Israel Aggression
The University of Auckland’s Students for Justice in Palestine call on the New Zealand government to pressure Israel to end the callous bombing raids in occupied Gaza and nearby Lebanon that has resulted in the death of civilians on both sides. The international community has failed yet again to address the core issues of the Middle East conflict by only calling for ’restraint’ alone, thereby paving the way for another regional conflict. 16 July 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
by Michel Chossudovsky, GlobalResearch.ca
Following the bombings of Beirut by Israel, there is a danger that the US sponsored Middle East war, which is at present characterized by three distinct war theaters (Afghanistan, Palestine and Iraq) will escalate and extend to the entire Middle East - Central Asian region.
The bombings of Lebanon are part of a carefully planned military agenda. They are not spontaneous acts of reprisal by Israel. They are acts of provocation.
The attacks (…) -
Israel prepares to drag Syria & Iran into war
16 July 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
How Israel mistook an "aircraft rigged with explosives" for a missile, as the Associated Press reports, is not explained. However, blaming Iran certainly fits the picture, as both Israel and the United States are trying to drag Iran and Syria into Israel’s invasion of Lebanon and thus widen the conflict, as planned.

Attacks Are Part of US/Israel Strategy
16 July 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentIsrael, with U.S. support, intends to resist calls for a cease-fire and continue a longer-term strategy of punishing Hezbollah, which is likely to include several weeks of precision bombing in Lebanon, according to senior Israeli and U.S. officials.
For the United States, the broader goal is to strangle the axis of Hezbollah, Hamas, Syria and Iran, which the Bush administration believes is pooling resources to change the strategic playing field in the Middle East, U.S. officials say. (…) -

All night I heard the jets, whispering high above the Mediterranean. It lasted for hours, little fireflies nthat were watching Beirut, waiting for dawn perhaps, because it was then that they descended.
They came first to the little village of Dweir near Nabatiya in southern Lebanon where an Israeli plane dropped a bomb on to the home of a Shia Muslim cleric.
He was killed. So was his wife. So were eight of his children. One was decapitated. All they could find of a baby (…) -

The framing of Hizbullah
by Amal Saad-Ghorayeb in Beirut
The capture of three Israeli soldiers by the Lebanese resistance movement, Hizbullah, to bargain for prisoner exchange should come as no surprise - least of all to Israel, which must bear its own responsibility for the abductions and is using this conflict to pursue its wider strategic aims.
The prisoners Hizbullah wants released are hostages who were taken on Lebanese soil. In the successful prisoner exchange in 2004, Israel (…) -

16 July 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
The Mumbai bombing atrocity - 200 dead, 700 wounded - has shocked the world. Was this an Indigenous South Asian crime or were the Americans or Israelis involved? Nobody has claimed responsibility as yet. However analysis of Means, Opportunity and Motive (MOM) indicate Indigenous candidates (Kashmiri separatists, Muslim-origin terrorists, Al Qaeda, pro-Israel Hindu supremacists or Indian Intelligence) or Non-indigenous candidates, specifically Israel and the US who are closely linked to (…)
