Now is the time to pull troops out of Iraq
29 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
It is time for Congress to stop procrastinating about Iraq. Urge our congressional representatives to sign on to a bipartisan resolution, the Homeward Bound Act, calling for usurper Bush to come up with a plan by the end of this year to withdraw the troops from Iraq, and for the withdrawal to start no later than October 2006. The binding resolution is being sponsored by Reps. Walter B. Jones Jr., R-N.C., Ron Paul, R-Texas, Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, and Neil Abercrombie, D-Hawaii.

What kind of fantastic lie or gross incompetence caused a 12-year war to be marketed as a 3-week war

1 commentA Defeat Bred in Deceit Paul Craig Roberts
“Anyone who has proclaimed violence his method inexorably must choose lying as his principle.”
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
When Bush decided, prior to September 11, to attack Iraq, he committed himself to lies and deceit. As his British co-conspirators realized, only victory could save them from the consequences.
On June 27, General George Casey, US commander of the “multinational coalition” in Iraq, told morning TV audiences that the conflict (…) -
Washington in crisis over opposition to Iraq war
29 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
28 June 2005 -President George W. Bush has been forced to renew his efforts at selling the war in Iraq to the American people under conditions in which Washington’s military adventure has turned into a quagmire and popular support for a withdrawal of US troops has reached an all-time high.
Bush is set to deliver a rare prime-time television address Tuesday night, using massed troops at Fort Bragg in North Carolina as his backdrop. The setting is itself highly significant, casting the (…) -

1 commentHow America Uses Aid As A Pretext For Intervention Ali Fayyad Edited by Rob Gibran June 25, 2005 Washington’s decision to send food aid to North Korea, rather than a purely humanitarian act spurred by deep sentiments of benevolence, brotherhood and care for one’s fellow man, is a cold, calculated decision to further its political, economic and military interests.
In a new development on the North Korean front, the American government has decided to send a 50,000 ton shipment of food aid (…) -

Bush’s War Against Iraq Is Ruining America

Last Friday the price of light sweet crude oil on the New York Mercantile Exchange for August delivery closed 16 cents short of $60/barrel - the highest price ever and an ironic outcome for the millions of Americans who believe that cheap oil was the reason for Bush’s invasion of Iraq.
Equally shocking to Americans was the announcement that China has outbid US oil giant Chevron for the American oil company, (…) -

Embassies For Sale Want To Become Bush’s Next Ambassador? Georg Mascolo June 27, 2005 Want to become a US ambassador? It’s not as hard as you may think. Just donate a couple of hundred thousand to President George W. Bush’s campaign coffers and pick your city. The president’s new cadre of diplomats tend to be generous campaign donors, including the wealthy Ohio ball-bearing manufacture who is expected to run the US Embassy in Berlin.
It’s possible that David Wilkins, 58, is just a tad (…) -
Karl Rove Can’t Lie His Way Out

2 commentsKarl Rove Can’t Lie His Way Out Bill Gallagher June 28, 2005 Detroit - Cynicism is the soul of George W. Bush’s presidency and Karl Rove, the man he calls his "brain," speaks out loud the thoughts lurking in the president’s ruthless but muddled mind. Rove is the most vile, despicable, duplicitous, power-addicted, war-mongering, lying neo-fascist in the administration, save Dick Cheney and the man who lets them run the government for him. Rove’s cynicism is a perfect reflection of Bush’s (…)

"Secret" Air Base for Iraq War started prior 9-11
by Duke1676
This is great investigative work, and further evidence that Bush and the neocons were planning pre-emptive military action long before September 11th, and no matter what WMD intelligence revealed—Chris
With a small ceremony on April 26, 2003, control of Prince Sultan Air Base was handed back to the government of Saudi Arabia. Since the mid-nineties it had been the premier US air base in the region and the (…)
