Hot tip from my broker... It was slightly edited to refelct what was actually said about the investments....
Yes that’s right folks the corporations that make WMDs in the US and around the globe are having a great profit cycle while they spread the love of democracy around the world. Please ignore while cashing your profit check from stock sales the blood of the dead American solders, the dead Iraqis and the millions of other people living in poverty, desiese, and in extreme hardship while (…)

WTI: PRELIMINARY DECLARATION OF THE JURY OF CONSCIENCE WORLD
27 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsIn February 2003, weeks before war was declared on Iraq, millions of people protested in the streets of the world. That call went unheeded. No international institution had the courage or conscience to stand up to the aggression of the US and UK governments. No one could stop them. It is two years later now. Iraq has been invaded, occupied, and devastated. The attack on Iraq is an attack on justice, on liberty, on our safety, on our future, on us all. We the people of conscience decided to (…)

THE OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE OF BUSH CARTEL CRIMES - AS IGNORED BY THE MEDIA

THE INFAMY
We’re talking impeachable crimes, here. We’re talking high crimes and misdemeanors. We’re talking about conspiracy and murder. We’re talking about war crimes and crimes against humanity. We’re talking about deception and manipulation. We have the proof and we know whodunit. We even have public confessions but the American news media is so (…) -
US Troops Want Exit Plan "Not one more soldier should die over here for it is a needless death"
27 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsI have been talking to my fellow soldiers about this whole situation and I have told them about how the leadership in Washington is trying to get the American people to silence their criticisms of the continued lunacy we call the occupation of Iraq.
I tell them that they are saying to the Congress: Well, ya know our poor soldiers wanna stay and finish the fight in Iraq but you people in Washington D.C. are under cutting their morale by bringing up this time table stuff and what the hell (…) -
Come Back To the Five & Dime, Howie Dean
27 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentSixty percent of the public now wants the troops out of Iraq, and even some traditional conservatives are calling for withdrawal. So why is the former anti-war firebrand mum on the topic?
Since he became chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Howard Dean has made a big deal about returning the party to the grassroots. For the past few weeks, he has been barnstorming the country holding fundraisers that seem only one step removed from the populist rallies of his presidential (…) -
Iraq insurgency could last a decade, admits Rumsfeld
27 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
by Julian Borger in Washington
The US defence secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, yesterday warned that the insurgency in Iraq could go on for at least a decade and confirmed that the army had been in contact with some of its leaders in an attempt to quell the violence.
He spoke after insurgents launched coordinated suicide bomb attacks which killed at least 33 people and wounded dozens more in the northern city of Mosul.
Mr Rumsfeld said that Iraqis, not US troops, would eventually bring an (…) -
Bush administration crafting new message on Iraq
27 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentStung by plummeting polls, the Bush administration is working on a new message about Iraq. Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld road-tested it on the Sunday talk shows, and President Bush will flesh it out during a speech Tuesday night. The basic message, as articulated by Rumsfeld, goes something like this:
1. "Progress is being made politically and economically" in Iraq.
2. But the casualties could get worse over the next six months, and fighting could go on for "five, six, eight, 12 (…) -

Is Gotham Worth Saving?

1 commentby Daniel Patrick Welch
Summer is here. The choking ajajas of Baghdad coat everything in a pale yellow dust. Meanwhile, back at imperial headquarters, the sandman effect of the Summer movie list coaxes Americans back to sleep, our attention spans and consciences soothed into complacency, in contrast to the suffocating Sumerian sandstorms. Kick back and enjoy your popcorn in the artificial bubble of petroleum-driven, air-conditioned bliss, while the bubble outside shows signs of bursting. (…) -
Downing Street Memos Explained in Plain English
27 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsBy Carmen Yarrusso
The Bush and Blair administrations have dismissed the leaked British memos (including the so-called Downing Street Memo) that provide details of what top British officials believed about the case for war in the months leading up to the Iraq invasion. Both administrations have characterized the memos as “nothing new” or “old news”.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Why primary-source evidence
1) They document beliefs of people working closely with Bush’s top (…)
