Is the UN general secretary, powerless or careless?
The Israeli army has been brutally bombing every thing in Lebanon including civilians, bridges, airports, electric power stations, motorways and trucks. The intensity of bombing may lead to the killing of their two abducted soldiers. The Lebanese people and government are been targeted and thus it is obvious that the aim of this aggression is not to free the abducted soldiers but to punish the people and government of Lebanon for an act that was not committed by them. The results of this military aggression is the killing of more than 380 and injuring more than 1500 of civilians Lebanese, and forcing more than 700,000 refuges to travel to north.
The UN Security Council has failed to issue a resolution for seize fire, thus failing to justify the basic reason for which it was established!. The USA with its unjustified Veto’s is trying to prevent the UN Security Council from acting according to the UN charter. Moreover, the USA is encouraging Israel to commit more aggression and more crimes, on an independent country, which the USA claims that it has freed it from Syrian interference !. It ironic how much the USA has insisted on the Syrian troops withdrawal, while it is encouraging Israeli troops to invade Lebanon .
The UN General Secretary, is acting very slowly in this crisis, since he failed to condemn the Israeli act of war on the Lebanon government, he failed to do anything that insure the safety of Lebanese civilians. On the contrary, the UN started to withdraw many of its personnel from Lebanon instead of sending more to help the refuges and injured Lebanese.
Therefore, we have the right to ask is UN Secretary General, powerless or careless?. If he has no enough power against the USA Veto ’s, the he could resign and thus register a noble stand. In either way he is no longer suitable for his job!!.

Neither. He’s just doing what his masters want. That’s his job.

He is past his usefulness. He should be replaced. To bad Bill Clinton wasn’t able to replace him.
