The Associated Press appears to have errantly revised a question asked by a Reuters reporter about the Downing Street minutes, RAW STORY has discovered.
The AP transcript says the reporter asked a question which included the phrase, "intelligence and facts remain fixed" around the policy of removing Saddam Hussein, whereas the official White House transcript and account by the Washington Post asserted the reporter said "intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy of removing (…)

IS ANYONE OUT THERE LISTENING?
4 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
5 commentsMaybe that’s the wrong question. Maybe I should ask if anyone out there is SCREAMING! I know I am, and I’m ready to blow.
The corporate media are the common enemy of the American people and they have to be treated as such. They have to be made to feel the anger of the public. They have to be made to feel ashamed of what they are doing.
The man holding the news conference used that phrase again, the one about our winning in Iraq, and they let him get away with it. The pseudo journalists (…) -
Media Black Out Downing Street Minutes
1 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
Aggressive followers and participants in U.S. politics often have strong opinions about the Downing Street Minutes. Most other Americans have not heard of or are not clear about what the Downing Street Minutes are.
How is this possible? Here we have the official government minutes from a meeting of British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his top national security officials, including a briefing by Richard Dearlove, then-director of Britain’s CIA equivalent, MI-6, who had just returned from (…) -
Public Broadcasting.
31 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
It now seems that the U.S.government wishes to eliminate a threat to the U.S. national welfare by removing any tinge of liberalism from Public Broadcasting.Does that mean that I will have to rely on Fox and C.N.N. etc.for the truth?Maybe we can all look forward the"Rush Limbaugh News Hour" or even "Now with Bill O’Reilly".

Pass Constitutional Amendment to Label Information like we Label Food
30 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentAs we label food to make informed choices we should also analyze and label programming so we can make informed choices. All programming that is aired should be verified for content, scope, and type, and verified factually and if it meets these criteria then it can be labeled and presented as "NEWS" or "INFORMATION" thus as fact. Today we have no labeling standards only for voilence or such things which is not a verification by an independent people controlled body to insure we as democractic (…)

US Media Censors Uranium Weapons Stories - Depleted Uranium Turns to Poison Gas
28 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
20 commentsDedication for the year 2120. A Dedication in 2120 might say: Dedicated to the memory of the Iraqi people. Many people believe Iraq was the birthplace of civilization some 5,000 years ago. Iraq was destroyed and radioactively contaminated in an early 21st Century Oil War by a fascist world power, now extinguished. Dedication to the Iraqi People in 2005. Iraq is uninhabitable. The Wars in Central Asia all were nuclear wars fought with radiation dispersing American weapons. None of (…)

Great Lies of the American free press
28 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
8 commentsby David R. Hoffman
Is freedom of the American press a myth?In several previous PRAVDA articles, I discussed the Bush dictatorship’s prominent use of Adolph Hitler’s "great lie theory" - the political tactic where a leader fabricates "great lies," then "eternally" repeats them until a significant portion of the population comes to accept them as truth. The Bush dictatorship also discovered a residual benefit of the "great lie theory": People are often so myopic or so embarrassed by their (…) -
American Reporter Needs Help Understanding Why The World Hates Bush
27 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
87 commentsLast week, I spent a few days in London giving a series of lectures on American foreign policy.
My audiences were American and generally supportive of what the Bush administration is doing in fighting terror and spreading freedom.
The Europeans, on the other hand, were a different story. The British media were full of stories pounding the president and his policies. Since I couldn’t get MSNBC in London, I was stuck watching the BBC, with its nightly onslaught against the U.S.
The day I (…) -
Bloggers are outwitting the Mainstream and Corporate Media!
25 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsThese days, they are rather worried. They are of no use any longer ! They have lost their aura. The carpet is being withdrawn from underneath their feet. Worse, they might even lose their jobs. They have become a burden for their employer. You guessed whom I am talking about ! The mainstream media or their masters’ voice, the corporate media.
In the near past, these cacophonous trumpets, used to have an idol to worship. They were his press officers. Every morning there was an assembly to (…) -
Using The Media For A Magic Trick
25 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentUsing The Media For A Magic Trick Eugene Robinson May 24, 2005 I propose that the media spend less of their finite, precious resources doing what I’m doing right now: covering the media.
No, I don’t want to put all the media writers out of business. Yes, there are days when the making or unmaking of the story is the story. But please, not every day. If we covered government, business, foreign affairs, sports, entertainment and the rest of modern existence as aggressively and thoroughly (…)
