- And who will tell the people - that free speech is a ruse; - The corporations run the country - and then they make the news. - Is it media or mind control - heroic victories or crime? - Who will tell the people... - that we are living in these times. - Song by Willie Nelson
In his essay on "Character" Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, "A chief event in life is the day in which we have encountered a mind that startled us." I’ve had such days, many of them through encounters (…)

Greg Nixon | 23.01.2006 02:07 The phony ’Left wing" media are de facto Bush regime supporters since they refuse to talk about the massive frameup on humanity in the name of the fraudulent "War On Terror". It is time to confront these ’gatekeepers’ who keep the reality of 9/11 from going mainstream. Come march for truth in NYC on February 20th to restore law and order to our Republic

It Wasn’t All Bad
1 January 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
by Katha Pollitt
All year long it’s been one piece of bad news after another, but now it’s time to put on the rose-colored glasses and list some of the good things that happened in 2005. I had to e-mail about fifty people to come up with these items, but that’s OK. Keeping you cheerful is part of my job. I mean, the war could be wrong, but the Iraqi elections could still be good. So fill that glass half full with whatever and...and...well, just drink it.

The Press: The Enemy Within
3 December 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
By Michael Massing
The past few months have witnessed a striking change in the fortunes of two well-known journalists: Anderson Cooper and Judith Miller. CNN’s Cooper, the one-time host of the entertainment show The Mole, who was known mostly for his pin-up good looks, hip outfits, and showy sentimentality, suddenly emerged during Hurricane Katrina as a tribune for the dispossessed and a scourge of do-nothing officials. He sought out poor blacks who were stranded in New Orleans, expressed (…) -

Manipulating the Media
By Peter Fredson
November 30, 2005
A blogger recently asked that in view of my longevity and varied experience I might write something about changes noted.
Years ago I was a photographer-reporter and attended a Presidential photo-op for a visiting dignitary. The news-people were invited to partake of delicious snacks at a large table. Then the President got up on a dais with his visitor, both made speeches, and left the room. A bodyguard of the President went (…) -

27 November 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
5 commentsA Spinwatch investigation has revealed that journalists working for the Services Sound and Vision Corporation (SSVC) have been commissioned to provide news reports to the BBC. The BBC has been using these reports as if they were genuine news. In fact, the SSVC is entirely funded by the Ministry of Defence as a propaganda operation, which according to its own website makes a ’considerable contribution’ to the ’morale’ of the armed forces.

(AKI) - The widow of Tariq Ayyoub, the journalist from satellite TV network Al Jazeera, who was killed when the station’s Baghdad offices were bombed in 2003, says she is considering sueing the US government over his death. Stop Using Their MIND CONTROL Newspeak and Spreading their PROPAGANDA
25 November 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
I found a great blog that speaks some important facts at..
Everytime a website, news program, radio broadcast, or government speech is given very speciifc language is used and restated to mentally IMPRINT the emotional fear needed to SHOCK you into submission. It works just like the following words that we have all heard. "If you do that you will BURN in HELL..." "Crime doesn’t pay..." (thats why they are running all the world) "A new kind of war..."
...
Each of these has been heard (…) -

The BBC News website, in a special page “Q&A: White phosphorus” and under the title “The BBC News website looks at the facts behind the row.” reads:
What are the international conventions?
Washington is not a signatory to any treaty restricting the use of white phosphorus against civilians.
White phosphorus is covered by Protocol III of the 1980 (…) -
The BBC’s Big White (Phosphorus) Lie
18 November 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
by William Bowles • Friday, 18 November 2005 Finally, the ‘white phosphorus’ obscenity made it into the BBC’s main news, at least for a couple of days before being relegated into the Beeb’s dustbin of ‘allegations’ which of course, at least according the BBC, is where the story belongs. Of course, ‘making it into the news’ is a bit of a misnomer as it took the BBC nearly two weeks for the story to actually ‘break’ into its mainstream news coverage, no doubt because it was us non-entities, (…)
