Wars and conflicts USA

Every once in a while,it’s good to read the short speach as Eisenhower left office. This reminded of the dangers and traps that the U.S. should avoid in the future.Would that they had listened with more attention.

  • Yes it is. Its also very interesting to note that Eisenhower had the word ’Congressional’ removed from his original statement. This we are told was done in order to avoid offending members of the legislative branch of the government. Perhaps this was closer to the reality of ’the fix’ than even the General was prepared to acknowledge. I believe The Military-Industrial Complex is also referred to as the Iron Triangle. (Military Contractors, The Pentagon and United States Congress) Kinda of goes along nicely with the Sunni Triangle don’t you think. As the M-I.C. went to war with Iraq with military spending at 250 to 1 ratio of Saddams budget the locals arn’t doing to badly I’d say up against such odds. In 2002 the five leading military contractors were Lochead Martin- $ 17 Billion, Boeing Company $ 16.6 Billion, Northrop Gruman $ 8.7 Billion, Raytheon Company $ 7 Billion and General Dynamics also at & $ 7 Billion. Since 2001 GWB has increased military spending from $ 329 Billion to $ 400 Billion in 2003. Since then expenses continue to escalate with .50 cents of every tax dollar now going to feed this monster. Perhaps it should also be noted that Think Tanks also got going as this time to further the cause and to deal with University Professors who were writting and debating these issues. Unlike the Professors who’s work was subject to academic standards and peer review the American Enterprise Institute and ilk had no such scrutiny. Thus we get the likes of ’The Price Of Darkness’ at The American Enterprise Institude and the rest of the fraudsters. As retired Pentagon Officals join the Think Tanks, and those on the Think Tanks become board members of the Military Contractors and former Congressman pick and choose between both we have the ultimate band of big brothers all working to keep us free (and poor.)

    • It is time for tall people to demand from their governments to stop squandering precious resources and lives for greed. Wars are fought for money and to enrich those who order wars to be fought.

It will take all honest citizens of the world to work together to put an end to governments as we know them.
