Mother’s Day 2009 - mass paedocidal, war criminal US Alliance kills 1,000 Indigenous infants every day

Wars and conflicts

Mother’s Day is about Mothers - Women who have had Children. What happens to those Children is of intense concern to Mothers and to those who love Mothers.

Unfortunately the US and its allies (the UK, White Australia, NATO and Apartheid Israel) are killing about 1,000 of Mothers’ Children EVERY DAY (see “Hey, hey USA, how many kids did you kill today? Answer: 1,000”: http://bellaciao.org/en/spip.php?ar... ).

A very timely reminder of the true origins of Mother’s Day has been provided by marvellous, humanitarian American writer and film-maker Bob Boldt (see his video “Kindertotenlied (Song about the Death of Children“: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/17563/ ) in a piece entitled “Remember the original meaning of Mother’s Day!” in the anti-racist, humanitarian, pro-Peace and pro-Planet MWC News: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/304... .

Bob Boldt points out that Mother’s Day originates from the reaction of Mothers to the carnage of the American Civil War and dates from the Mothers’ Day Proclamation in Boston, 1870, by famous American abolitionist, social activist, poet and author of “Battle Hymn of the Republic” Julia Ward Howe (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julia_... ) .

Bob Boldt – a decent, humanitarian American of the kind that are still loved around the World – states : “War has reduced man below the level of an unnatural beast and has made our country forever disgraced in the history of humanity“.

Below is the Mother’s Day Proclamation by that other fine, humanitarian American, Julia Ward Howe in 1870 (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother... ) .

Arise, then, women of this day!
Arise, all women who have hearts,
Whether our baptism be of water or of tears!

Say firmly:
"We will not have great questions decided by irrelevant agencies,
Our husbands will not come to us, reeking with carnage, for caresses and applause.
Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn
All that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience.
We, the women of one country, will be too tender of those of another country
To allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs."

From the bosom of the devastated Earth a voice goes up with our own.
It says: "Disarm! Disarm! The sword of murder is not the balance of justice."
Blood does not wipe out dishonor, nor violence indicate possession.
As men have often forsaken the plough and the anvil at the summons of war,
Let women now leave all that may be left of home for a great and earnest day of counsel.

Let them meet first, as women, to bewail and commemorate the dead.
Let them solemnly take counsel with each other as to the means
Whereby the great human family can live in peace,
Each bearing after his own time the sacred impress, not of Caesar,
But of God.

In the name of womanhood and humanity, I earnestly ask
That a general congress of women without limit of nationality
May be appointed and held at someplace deemed most convenient
And at the earliest period consistent with its objects,
To promote the alliance of the different nationalities,
The amicable settlement of international questions,
The great and general interests of peace.

Here are some shocking statistics about what has been happening to Mothers’ Children due to endless US wars and US global hegemony - America represents 5% of the world’s population but consumes 25% of the World’s resources.

In the Occupied Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan Territories post-invasion non-violent excess deaths total 0.3 million, 1.0 million and 3.2 million, respectively; post-invasion violent deaths total about 10,000, 1.3 million and 2-4 million, respectively; post-invasion under-5 infant deaths total 0.2 million, 0.6 million and 2.3 million, respectively; and refugees total 7 million, 6 million and 4 million, respectively. This constitutes a Palestinian Holocaust, an Iraqi Holocaust and an Afghan Holocaust; a Palestinian Genocide, Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention (see " Pro-Zionist Western Genocide Denial": http://mwcnews.net/content/view/298... ).

16 million people die avoidably each year in the World due to deprivation and deprivation-exacerbated disease; each year 10.6 million under-5 year old infant die, 90% (i.e. 9.5 million) avoidably (see Gideon Polya “Body Count. Global avoidable mortality since 1950”, G.M. Polya, Melbourne, 2007: http://mwcnews.net/Gideon-Polya and http://globalbodycount.blogspot.com/ ).

Avoidable violent and non-violent Indigenous Asian deaths in post-1950 US Asian wars now total about 25 million.

In the period 1950-2005, excess deaths (avoidable deaths) in countries occupied by the US as a principal occupier since 1945 (excluding Japan and Germany) totalled 82 million - all Mothers’ Children of course (for detailed documentation of the above see my 2008 Melbourne lecture entitled “Body Count. Global avoidable mortality since 1950“: http://globalavoidablemortality.blo... ).

Here are data detailing this immense US crime and given as the ratio of 1950-2005 excess mortality/ 2005 population (both in millions, m) and expressed as a percentage (%). This ratio is given for the US itself and for all the countries subject to US Occupation in the post-1945. The asterisk (*) below indicates a major occupation by more than one country in the post-WW2 era (thus the UK and the US were and/or are major occupiers of Afghanistan, Iraq and Korea, leaving aside the many other minor participants in these conflicts). The breakdown is as follows for US-occupied countries: US [8.455m/300.038m = 2.8%] - Afghanistan* [16.609m/25.971m = 64.0%], Cambodia* [5.852m/14.825m = 39.5%], Dominican Republic [0.806m/8.998m = 9.0%], Federated States of Micronesia [0.016m/0.111m = 14.4%], Greece* [0.027m/10.978m = 0.2%], Grenada* [0.018m/0.121m = 14.9%], Guam [0.005m/0.168m = 3.0%], Haiti* [4.089m/8.549m = 47.9%], Iraq* [5.283m/26.555m = 19.9%], Korea* [7.958m/71.058m = 11.2%], Laos* [2.653m/5.918m = 44.8%], Panama [0.172m/3.235m = 5.3%], Philippines [9.080m/82.809m = 11.0%], Puerto Rico [0.039m/3.915m = 1.0%], Somalia* [5.568m/10.742m = 51.8%], US Virgin Islands [0.003m/0.113m = 2.4%], Vietnam* [24.015m/83.585m = 28.7%], total = 82.193m/357.651m = 23.0% .

However worse is to come due to US, US Alliance and First World profligacy and man-made global warming (anthropogenic global warming, AGW). Eminent UK climate scientist Professor James Lovelock FRS has estimated that fewer than 1 billion people (overwhelmingly European) will survive this century in the now looming Climate Genocide due to unaddressed man-made global warming i.e. that about 10 billion people (mostly non-European) will perish from man-made climate change this century and most of the dead will be Children.

In vain one protests that “thou shalt not kill” (see “Thou shalt not kill. Racist Zionism violates all 10 Commandments”: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/112... ) and indeed that “thou shalt not kill children” (see “Children of Lesser God. MWC News & Gideon Polya World #1 for "thou shalt not kill children": http://mwcnews.net/content/view/194... ).

If your country – like, mine, Australia - is complicit in the horrendous mass paeodicidal crimes of Anglo-American imperialism then you - like me - must join with wonderful, humanitarian American Bob Boldt in saying on this Mother’s Day 2009 and indeed endlessly : “War has reduced man below the level of an unnatural beast and has made our country forever disgraced in the history of humanity“.
