Wars and conflicts International Governments USA

The world knows that George W. Bush has always touted "compassionate conservatism". He’s out to prove it now with a brand new proposal for the future of Iraq.

Bush and his gang of military advisors including thinktank professors, generals and "yes" men, have concluded that what’s best for Iraq is a task force of caring and concerned troops to stay in the Green Zone and on various large bases for the forseeable future and beyond...waaaay beyond!

This has been our pattern in the past; we have 730 bases in 125 countries, and with the exception of France the have paid the various governments a stipend and have been "invited" by key leaders to protect the interests of those lands in the cause of freedom, justice, and the American way.

We will keep our distance from the civil war-makers in Iraq, and just operate our embassy and bases as friendly protectors of the innocents; as guardians of the poor, the oppressed, the sick and the disturbed. We have no alternative motives. We don’t want their oil or other resources, don’t want to meddle in their internal affairs, or force any specific governmental solutions. All we wish is the peaceful coexistance between Kurds, Suni and Shia.

Believe that. Please.

PLEASE!

  • The Iraqis that want peace are in a precarious position. they want the foriegn security force gone, but know that that is not the pathway to ultimate peace, but just the opposite. Whats the answer? There are no easy answers. Withdrawing prematurly is an answer. But not to peace. The people of Iraq ultimatly will be the deciders of their own future. Does that future include any form of democracy? Its a long shot since democracy is not only an allien form of governmemt to Iraq, but to the whole middle east besides a couple of oasises. Time will tell, we can only hope for the people to make a stand against oppression.
