Obama "officially" stops eradication of Afghan opium crops & is now World #1 opium, heroin & drug pusher

ABC News has reported that under Obama the US will “officially” cease eradication of Taliban-destroyed, US-restored Afghan opium industry and thus, as the ruler of Occupied Afghanistan, Barack Hussein Obama (BHO) becomes the World’s #1 opium pusher, the World’s #1 heroin and the World’s #1 drug lord (see “US announces shift in Afghanistan drug policy”: http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/06... ) .

Indigenous Afghan deaths from the Bush (now Obama) Afghanistan War include 3-7 million post-invasion violent and non-violent excess deaths, and 2.3 million post-invasion under 5 infant deaths. 3-4 million refugees have been generated and under Obama a further 2.5 million Pashtun refugees have been generated from US robot drone bombing and US-backed Pakistan Army operations in the Swat Valley (see “Obama’s Afghan War. The ongoing US campaign of mass murder of Indigenous Afghans and attempted extermination of an Indigenous religious group (the Taliban) constitutes not only an Afghan Holocaust but also an Afghan Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention: “In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such: a) Killing members of the group; b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group” (see UN Genocide Convention: http://www.edwebproject.org/sidesho... ).

In marked contrast, 7000 Western civilians have assertedly been murdered by Muslim-origin non-state terrorists in the last 40 years (this including Israelis occupying Palestinian lands – a potentially risky business stealing other peoples’ land - and ignoring mounting evidence for US and Israeli involvement in the 9-11 atrocity) (see “US responsible for 9-11? The extraordinary disproportionality of the US Afghan Genocide (3-7 million post-invasion excess deaths) in ostensible response to 3,000 deaths on 9-11 is underscored by the assertions of the “official” Bush version of the 9-11 atrocity that alleges that NO Afghans were actually involved in the 9-11 atrocity (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organi... ).

In contrast to the carnage of the Bush (now Obama) Afghan Genocide (3-7 million post-invasion excess deaths), US Alliance deaths in the endless Afghan War total 1,200 (see: http://icasualties.org/oef/ , an Indigenous/Invader death ratio of 3-7 million/1,200 = 2,500- 5,833 as compared to the Indigenous/Invader death ratio of merely 10 advocated by Nazi German leader Adolph Hitler and executed in the Ardeatine Caves Massacre, Rome in 1944 in the shooting of 335 Italian men and boys as reprisals for 33 Germans killed by Partisans the previous day (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ardeat... ).

The pure, racist evil of the US Alliance Afghan Genocide is revealed by the following statistics derived from UN agency and other authoritative sources: the “annual death rate” is 7.0% for under-5 year old Afghan Infants in US-occupied Afghanistan under Obama – as compared to 2.9% for inmates of the Nazi German Buchenwald Concentration Camp and 10.1% for Australian prisoners of war of the Japanese in World War 2, war crimes for which responsible Germans and Japanese were tried and hanged.

However one must also note the post-invasion global opiate drug-related deaths due to US Alliance restoration of the Taliban-destroyed Afghan opium industry from about 6% (in 2001) to 93% (in 2007) of world market share (see UNODC World Drug Report 2007: http://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/data-... ).

Here are the “smoking gun” key figures from the UNODC of Afghan opium production in metric tonnes: 2000 - 3,276 tonnes; 2001 – 185 tonnes; 2002 - 3,400 tonnes ; 2003 - 3,400 tonnes; 2003 - 3,600 tonnes; 2004 - 4,200 tonnes; 2005 - 4,100 tonnes.

As indicated in the ABC News report (see: http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/06... ) about 0.1 million people die from opiate drug-related causes each year (see also Australian National Drug Research Centre “Tobacco, alcohol and illicit drugs responsible for seven million preventable deaths worldwide“, 2003: http://db.ndri.curtin.edu.au/media.... ) and hence about 0.875 million have died since the invasion of Afghanistan, of whom about 90%, i.e. 0.9 x 0.875 million = 0.8 million people, have died as a result of the huge expansion of the Afghan opium industry under US Alliance occupation.

In 2005, of 18,347 deaths due to narcotics and psychodysleptics in the US, 12, 262 were due to heroin (2,011), other opioids (5,789) or methadone (4,462) (see US CDC opiate deaths data: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/pu... .

Given the over 90% contribution of the US restoration of the Taliban-destroyed opium industry to world illicit heroin production, and the interconnectedness and effective indistinguishability of “Afghan-derived heroin” from the “pool” of other abusively-used opiates, one can accordingly crudely estimate 0.9 x 12,262 persons/year x 8.75 years = 96,563 US opiate drug-related deaths (0.9 x 2,011 deaths/year x 8.75 years = 15,837 heroin-related deaths) connected with the aftermath of the US invasion and occupation of Afghanistan (for detailed analysis and documentation see ”Obama’s Afghan War. About 0.1 million people die worldwide from opiates each year and in my own country Australia about 300 Australians die each year from opiate drug-related causes. The UNODC and US CDC data make it clear that the Obama Administration that rules Occupied Afghanistan, presides over an Afghan opium industry that is 93% of world market share, has now made it "official" that it has no intention of destroying opium crops, and is clealry responsible for about 12,000 American opiate drug-related deaths each year - that makes Obama the World’s #1 opium pusher and the World’s #1 heroin pusher and a major crime figure linked to the 0.1 million opiate-related deaths in the world each year.

For people who love America and Americans, Obama’s further, “official” complicity in the opiate-linked mass murder of Americans is utterly contemptible.

As an agnostic, humanitarian Humanist I have no truck with religious fundamentalists like the racist ,religious right republicans (R4s) or the Taliban - but credit where credit is due, the Taliban at least had banned 3 of the biggest killers of humanity from their country before the war criminal US invasion, to whit Tobacco (kills 5 million globally each year; banned by the Taliban for Afghan public servants in 1997); Alcohol (kills about 1.8 million globally each year; totally banned in Afghanistan until after the US invasion); and opiates (kills 0.1 million people each year; totally banned by the Taliban in 2000, this reducing the Afghan opiate production to about 6% of world market share by 2001).

If World #1 Drug Lord Obama were to see the light and adopt Taliban anti-drug policies it would potentially save about 80,000 US alcohol-attributable deaths annually (see CDC: http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmw... ) , 440,000 US smoking-related deaths annually (see CDC: http://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/data_sta... ) and about 12,000 US opiate-drug-related deaths annually (see CDC: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/pu... ).

However Zionist-beholden, Establishment-beholden and military-industrial-complex-beholden Obama has more important concerns that the avoidable, drug-related deaths of over 0.5 million Americans each year.

The real reasons behind the US restoration of the Afghan opium industry are likely to be the support of Afghan opium drug lords and destabilization of Iran and Russia through opium addiction and drug-related crime.

It is easier to kill sessile poppy plants than the 338,000 under-5 year old infants that the US Alliance actively and passively murders each year in Occupied Afghanistan (for UNICEF data see: http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry... ) , However in 2008 when US lackey Apartheid Australia broke ranks and asked its fellow US Alliance members for destruction of Occupied Afghan opium crops it was firmly rebuffed (see: http://www.theaustralian.news.com.a... ).

Yet these 2 violent, racist, war criminal, nuclear terrorist, drug-spreading states are both involved in sustained defamation, abuse and threats against remote, peaceful, non-nuclear armed Iran.

In contrast, the chief of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, Antonio Maria Costa, has praised Iran for leading the fight against heroin from US-occupied Afghanistan. More than 3,700 Iranian security personnel have been killed fighting drug smugglers since Iran’s 1979 Islamic revolution and 2-4 million Iranians (about 5% of the population) are now heroin addicts with a mounting attendant HIV/AIDS problem that is paradoxical and exceptional in this sexually conservative and religiously devour country.

Iranian drug police are the best in the world and in the year to March 20 2009 Iran reported that it had interdicted 1/3 of the estimated 3,000 tonnes of drugs smuggled into Iran from US-occupied Afghanistan (see Reuters India report, “U.N. hails Iran for curbing flow of Afghan heroin”: http://www.afghanconflictmonitor.or... ).
