US Military Personnel Wounded in Iraq & Afghanistan: A Running Log

Most Americans haven’t seen the growing legion of wounded troops returning from Iraq who are cared for at military facilities sealed off from the public. The media, in turn, have focused on the hit-and-run guerrilla attacks that claim one or two GIs in Iraq almost daily. Little attention has been paid to the long, difficult and very personal struggles that ensue in wards at BAMC and Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington.

  • DIE YOU FUCKIN SCUMBAGS

    • To 64.116: What kind of fucking monster are you, you unfeeling piece of trash? Have you taken the time to look at these pictures at all? Is there any room in your empty soul for compassion?
Souless pieces of shit like yourself should be pitied a thousand times more than the incredibly brave people depicted in these sad pictures. At least they have hearts and know the meaning of sacrifice. Although I never supported this insane and false war, that doesn’t mean that I don’t respect and even revere the fine American service people who have given more than their all for what they believed to be an honorable cause.
It would be far more constructive of you to focus your rage on the corrupt people, both in the White House and in the Pentagon, who are truly responsible for all the misery and death that the Middle East has had to endure these last five years, and not the brave Americans who only answered the call to defend their nation with the best of intentions.
The may be cannon fodder to you, but they are worthy human beings to me.

    • I agree with you 12:168 American soldiers who are simply trying to do their best to stay alive over in Iraqi hell are not the ones who need to be persecuted, it is instead their lying murdering incompetant chicken-hawk draft dodging child killing Crime Family politicians (and some military so- called leaders) that are to blame for the deaths of our fine men and women in uniform.
