According to many Right wing pundits in the US and many "boots on the ground" officers, things are definately on the mend in Iraq.
Yes, I noticed.
Daily I.E.D.s, mortars,assassinations and suicide bombers.
3 hours avg. of electricity daily, for most provinces.
Sewage lines a mess after 4 years of war!
Oil pipelines regularly bombed, and black marketeers siphoning off over $5 billion a year for black market sales.
Porn houses flourishing!
Arms and drug smuggling up!
Corrupt Iraqi government continuing to lie daily.
Only a handful of schools and hospitals rebuilt, while thousands of teachers and doctors flee!
Over 650,000 refugees going to Syria, Iran and Jordan. The Army says (laughingly) that many families are now returning! (any bets?)
75% of Iraqis want the US OUT of their country.
300 million tons of explosives still missing from warehouses!
Civil War
Now even Shia vs Shia!
Every day beheaded bodies are found in the Tigris...and corpses showing signs of torture!
US contractors (like Blackwater) shooting innocent Iraqis daily...and continued reports about US troops murdering and raping civilians. The same charges prevail against British troops.
Most US diplomats refuse to accept assignments in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Insurgents trying new tactics. Better explosives, shooting down ’copters, using chlorine gas to intimidate and expand fear!
But I guess this is all just Left wing propaganda by those back home who "hate our troops"....and want them home!

Come On Villy!
IRAQ is not Europe or USA. Its the middle east. And of course the Iraqis want a foriegn force out of their country. And only 29% of Iraqis view the internal fights as a civil war. 31% feel their country better off under Hussien. These Polls taken just a few days ago and polled the largest numer of Iraqis across all Shias, Sunnis, and Kerds. Still a mess, and is still a long shot for some sort of success. But the polling show a significant improvement over just late last year by same group and questions.

Villy, all that other stuff is ok, in a place that has a lethal blanket of DU covering it , for the next 4.5 billion years.
