Ready,Willing, NOT Ready!

The governments of the world are quite communicative with the main stream media these days. Our leaders are all blowhards!

Syria’s Assad has a prepared statemen every day, in essence saying "We’re ready if invaded"

Iran’s Ahmadenijahd has no loss of of invective for Israel and the U.S. "We will not take orders from the West. We are willing to talk but not give up our nuclear enrichment program" He’s telling Bush, politely, to go to Hell. Bush says he won’t go.

Bush tells the Press that "We’re ready and able to handle any problems militarily if need be" A flat out lie! We really ARE spread too thin, and our military is begging for BILLIONS more for decaying and decrepid equipment. Of course we know "certain" higher ups are "ready and willing" to stuff their pockets with a good hunk of that cash!

The Miami Cubans are "Ready and willing to move back if Castro dies and take over the government for the good old U.S.of A" Hmmmm

Israel is ready to squash Hezbollah once and for all, but "The Hez" is not "willing" to make their job easy. Neither is "able" to defeat the other at this point.

Russia and China, on the sidelines, are ready, willing and quite able to profit from whichever the various wars go, as sub rosa arms suppliers.

Iraq is neither ready, willing OR able to take control of it’s dubious future. The U.S. has promised to "Stand down if the Iraqis stand up" (what a dumb phrase!), but the world knows the US isn’t about to "stand down" under any circumstances, and the Iraqi Security forces will probably NEVER "stand up", not in the midst of the current civil war.

At this point a casual observer of world events could easily say that nobody currently "in action" in the "war against terror", or in any conflict, is able.

What else is new?
