Wars and conflicts Governments USA
Here is the short, concise and accurate Democratic objection to President Bush’s Surge policy in Iraq. This clearly demonstrates that the Democrat’s resolution is a firm and noble challenge.
Dear President Bush.
As a united body, we hereby support a resolution to stop your SURGE of 21,500 troops to finally bring peace to Iraq.
We want to leave the troops who are already there in place to continue the progress they’ve made over the last four years. We note many advances and successes during the long slog of this war, and despite the 37,000 wounded and psychologically damaged, the suicides, amputees, and 3100 dead, we know that Maliki’s government is strong, the Army and Police forces have been strongly forged and trained by the finest miltary in the world...and surely Iraq will soon come together with harmony, dedication, nobility and intelligence. The religious differences won’t matter soon, because the populace has an intense desire for unity and a resolution of their problems.
Please don’t add more troops. We Democrats feel that those brave and courageous soldiers serving right now...even if they have to serve many more tours....will get the job done in no more than a decade or two.
Thank you for considering our request. We underestand that you may not listen...and that’s allright too.
God Bless (The Democratic Congress)

The a*&hole dems should get down on their lying knees and thank gw for the surge. It provides them with a cast-iron excuse to bitch about sending more targets to Iraq, rather than address the real question. Bring all our troops back, now. That’s supposedly why we sent their sorry asses to the District of Criminals over their republicrat counterparts, isn’t it?! They’re all scum and I for one am voting for Dr. Ron Paul in ’08. He’s the only true statesman in that vile town! He’s also the only one who doesn’t leave a slime trail when he enters my capital building!

Absolutely right, the honorable Dr. Ron Paul, a person both the so called "left" and the so called "right" could identify with, based upon his legendary sense of Constitutional Values, being a TRUE DEFENDER of what’s left of the ’republic’ a true HERO in my book as one who stands as best they can against the rising tied of COMMUNISTS and FASCISTS alike that would destroy what little ’democracy’ and ’freedom’ is left here in the U.S.

Shame to see the "gatekeepers" on this site feel the need to censor and delete harmless posts such as the other two posts that dealt with the merits of Dr. Ron Paul and some ideas expressed about how to return to a REALLY Free Republic not the fake kind Bush/Cheney and the NeoCON cronies are trying to create. Isn’t there room on this board for "independents" who don’t necessarily take to one of the *two* sides (which in reality are really mainly one) and who want nothing more than a nation returned to protection under the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Are Congressional Democrats REALLY at the top any more interested in REAL FREEDOM and Privacy for The people than Republicans???? Where’s The Beef?
