Should Obama be tried for his Afghan Genocide war crimes in Occupied Afghanistan?

As the new American president tours Europe garnering support for mass murder of Indigenous Asians in Occupied Afghanistan and robot-bombed Pakistan, sensible, anti-racist, humanitarian people should take stock and ask the pertinent questions e.g. how many people have died avoidably in Occupied Afghanistan so far under American Emperor Barack Hussein Obama?

Occupation excess deaths can be either violent (from bullets and bombs) or non-violent (from deprivation and deprivation-exacerbated disease).

The non-violent avoidable deaths (non-violent excess deaths) under Occupation can be assessed from UN demographic data as the difference between the actual deaths and the deaths expected for a peaceful country with the same demographics (see my book “Body Count. Global avoidable mortality since 1950”: http://mwcnews.net/Gideon-Polya and for some detailed tables about global avoidable mortality see my 2008 lecture on the subject: http://globalavoidablemortality.blo... ).

For an impoverished Third World country total non-violent excess deaths are about 1.4 times the under-5 infant deaths (see “Layperson’s guide to counting Iraq deaths”: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/5872/26/ ).

According to the UN Population Division (see: http://esa.un.org/unpp/) and UNICEF (see: http://www.unicef.org/index.php and http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry... ) about 327,000 under-5 year old Occupied Afghan infants die each year (about 90% avoidably and due to gross violation of the Geneva Convention by the war criminal US, UK, White Australia and NATO Occupiers (see “Obama’s Afghan war. Who is the worse terrorist, Obama or Osama?” : http://mwcnews.net/content/view/295... ).

Accordingly, one can estimate "total non-violent annual excess deaths" in Occupied Afghanistan at 1.4 x 327,000 = 457,888 excess deaths/year or 457,800 excess deaths/365 days = 1,254 excess deaths/day or 1,245 x 40 = 50,160 /40 days i.e. about 50,000 excess deaths in 40 days.

However Afghans are also being killed violently and in Occupied Iraq the ratio of violent excess deaths/non-violent excess deaths is about 1.3 (see “Iraq Invasion 6th Anniversary. 2.3 million Iraqi excess deaths “: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/293... ".

If the same ratio holds for Occupied Afghanistan then the violent excess deaths in 40 days total 1.3 x 50,160 = .65,130 or about 65,000 in 40 days and there have been a total of 50,000 + 65,000 = 115,000 violent and non-violent Occupied Afghan excess deaths under the first 40 days of rule by Barack Hussein Obama.

How should decent people respond to this upper estimate of over 100,000 Occupied Afghans dying avoidably (violently or non-violently) in the first 40 days and nights of brutal rule by President Barack Hussein Obama (BHO)?

When in need of advice on such life-and-death matters, one would be well advised to turn to the opinions of the most outstanding and acclaimed humanitarians in the world.

In his 2005 Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech (see “Art, Truth and Politics”: http://www.countercurrents.org/arts... ), the wonderful humanitarian Harold Pinter unambiguously stated the following about the crimes of Bush and Blair in Iraq (crimes that BHO is already emulating on a horrible scale in both Occupied Iraq and Occupied Afghanistan), QUOTE: “The invasion of Iraq was a bandit act, an act of blatant state terrorism, demonstrating absolute contempt for the concept of international law. The invasion was an arbitrary military action inspired by a series of lies upon lies and gross manipulation of the media and therefore of the public; an act intended to consolidate American military and economic control of the Middle East masquerading as a last resort all other justifications having failed to justify themselves as liberation. A formidable assertion of military force responsible for the death and mutilation of thousands and thousands of innocent people.
We have brought torture, cluster bombs, depleted uranium, innumerable acts of random murder, misery, degradation and death to the Iraqi people and call it ’bringing freedom and democracy to the Middle East’.
How many people do you have to kill before you qualify to be described as a mass murderer and a war criminal? One hundred thousand? More than enough, I would have thought. Therefore it is just that Bush and Blair be arraigned before the International Criminal Court of Justice”. END QUOTE.

Of course, Harold Pinter’s 2005, media-derived estimate of post-invasion Occupied Iraq deaths was a huge under-estimate because the war criminal US military don’t count how many people they kill, or, in the notorious words of General Tommy Franks “We don’t do body counts”.

As of April 2009, 1.3 million Iraqis have been killed since the US invasion (according to the eminent Just Foreign Policy: http://www.justforeignpolicy.org/ir... ) and there have been about 1.0 million non-violent post-invasion excess deaths from deprivation i.e. a total of 2.3 million post-invasion excess deaths (see “Iraq Invasion 6th Anniversary. 2.3 million Iraqi excess deaths “: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/293... ).

Further, one must note that the US and its war criminal surrogates are involved in deadly violence and partial or total foreign occupation in a swathe of countries across the world in the American Empire including Occupied Haiti, Occupied Somalia, the Occupied Palestinian Territory (including the military-encircled Gaza Concentration Camp and West Bank Bantustans), Occupied Lebanon (the completely ethnically cleansed Shebaa Farms), Occupied Syria (the completely ethnically cleansed Golan Heights), Occupied Diego Garcia (completely ethnically cleansed), Occupied Iraq, Occupied Afghanistan, and the robot-bombed North West Provinces of Pakistan (there are so far 0.3 million Pakistani refugees from US attacks).

As of April 2009, in the Occupied Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan Territories post-invasion non-violent excess deaths total 0.3 million, 1.0 million and 3.2 million, respectively; post-invasion violent deaths total about 10,000, 1.3 million and possibly as many as 4 million [see above estimates], respectively; post-invasion under-5 infant deaths total 0.2 million, 0.6 million and 2.3 million, respectively; and refugees total 7 million, 6 million and 4 million, respectively. This constitutes a Palestinian Holocaust, an Iraqi Holocaust and an Afghan Holocaust; a Palestinian Genocide, Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention; and egregious war crimes due in part to Occupier war criminal non-supply of life-sustaining food and medical requisites demanded unequivocally by Articles 55 and 56 of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War – thus the Gaza Concentration Camp has been under US-backed Israeli blockade for 2 years and according to WHO the “total annual per capita medical expenditure” permitted by the Occupiers in Occupied Iraq and Occupied Afghanistan is US$124 and US$29, respectively, as compared to US$6,714 for the US (for detailed documentation of sources see “Iraq invasion 6th anniversary. 2.3 million excess deaths”: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/293... ; “Obama’s Afghan War, Who is the worse terrorist, Obama or Osama?”: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/295... ).

One could well follow Nobel Laureate Harold Pinter in relation to Bush and Blair and say the same of current World-leading terrorist Barack Hussein Obama - how many people does Obama have to kill before he qualifies to be described as a mass murderer and a war criminal? Over one hundred thousand in his first 40 days in Occupied Afghanistan alone? More than enough, I would have thought. Therefore it is just that Barack Hussein Obama be arraigned before the International Criminal Court of Justice (ICC).
