The Disappearance of 350 Tons of Explosives In IRAQ

One of the issues about Iraq is the disappearance of 350 Tons of Highly explosive materials from a site south of the capital Baghdad. Mr Bush was informed about the event and he gave no response !. Every body in Iraq and the rest of the world knows that since 9 April 2003, the USA troops are in charge of every thing in Iraq. After the installation of the provisional governing council and then the provisional government, major and sensitive issues remained in the hands of Mr Bremer and then the American embassy in Baghdad. Therefore the loss of such huge amounts of very important materials is totally the responsibility of the USA administration and troops. After 9 April 2003 these troops have confiscated every and all factories and stores belonging to the former Iraqi ministry of military industrialization . In fact these establishments were under monitoring by the USA reconnaissance missions as well as the UN inspectors for the last 12 years. What happened in most of these establishments under the USA occupation was a gradual dismantling of important and advanced equipment and systems. The dismantled parts and equipment were sold, by the USA troops, to apparently local contractors and smugglers . Some parts of civil usage were sold at one city and bought at another city to local contractors working with the americans !. All that was done with the collaboration of the american officers and some of the iraqi or other translators who are working with them. After the 18 months of the ruling of the Bush administration most of the factories and stores related to former military activities, have turned into ruins .
There were two major goals for these actions. The first is to deprive the Iraqis from any advanced and important technology. The second goal is to provide some sort of income for the generals , officers and soldiers and those contracted with the American army working in iraq . Most of the new iraqi politicians kept closed eyes to these abuses for well known reasons. The results was the destruction of many establishments which the UN inspectors had no opposition about their existence. These establishments have cost the Iraqis tens of billions of dollars !at times when such money was desperately needed by poor people of iraq.
It is ironic to find that the USA politicians have divided into groups regarding this issue . The Mr Bush administration which is responsible for all these abuses in iraq. The second ( Mr Kerry ) group tried to exploit the issue for their presidential campaign. However the UN has decided to have a neutral stand when it made no action or even no comment !. Such major things are going on while the Iraqis remain the real losers !.

  • I cannot comment on what you say except to say you make sense.

It is refreshing to hear a voice from Iraq, one that is not tainted with U.S. collaboration

How you speak is how I would feel if these things were being done to my country,

Keep letting us know you and your country Mohamed Younis.

  • You must have known that your country was supporting the murdering of Israeli people. You have a responsibility to your self. You and your country men should have made every attempt to leave your country before the USA occupation. Deal with it. This whole matter is done by your own hand.
