The Right Wing Philosophy: The Glass is ALWAYS half full
by Open-Publishing - Saturday 24 March 2007When we attacked Afghanistan: "We’ll run down bin Laden, smoke him out of his cave, and bring him to justice"
When Bush asked the FBI "Do we have the evidence?", Tennent responded "It’s a slam dunk!"
Colin Powell at the U.N. "The evidence is solid. Iraq has the WMDs"
Rumsfeld, when asked about WMDs (where are they?). He responded "We know for a fact that they are somewhere around the center of Baghdad..here, and here, and around here"
When we attacked Iraq, Wolfowitz said "It will be a cake walk. People will greet us in the streets with flowers and candy. The oil revenue alone will more than pay for the war"
About the length of the war. Rumsfeld: "It could be 6 days or 6 weeks, not likely 6 months"
Bush, about WMDs "The British have evidence that Saddam sought yellowcake from Niger...in Africa!"
Cheney: "There is little doubt; Saddam has ties to al Qaeda"
Chalabi’s cousin ’Curveball’ "We know Saddam has secret underground chemical weapons labs...right in the center of Baghdad!"
Bush, in 2006: "Of course we’ll win"
Now:(Bush) "The Democrats are blocking vital funds for our troops, without which they cannot win"
And so it goes. Just "look on the bright side", and sooner or later we WILL prevail!
