5 commentsMichael P. Wright — Norman, Oklahoma, USA mpwright9@aol.com After his beheading in Iraq during 2004, CNN reported that Nick Berg’s email password had come into the possession of confessed terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui. Both men had spent time in Norman, home of the University of Oklahoma. The strange CNN article is here:
Relying on Berg’s father, CNN accounted for this event with the story that Berg, while he was an OU student, was taking a bus ride in Norman one day and happened to (…) -

Parents of fallen Marine make plea to Bush
16 August 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
CLEVELAND (AP) - The parents of one of 16 Ohio-based Marines recently killed in Iraq want President Bush to take note of mounting casualties and come up with a new plan to bring the troops home. "The war is not going well. There have to be changes made," Rosemary Palmer, mother of Lance Cpl. Edward Schroeder II, said on Tuesday. "Bush is digging himself a foxhole. He can’t do that. He’s got to move on. Whether he leads them out by putting more troops on the ground or pulling them out - he (…)

Important Military Affairs

The death toll for U.S. forces in Iraq has surpassed 1,800, nearly 14,000 soldiers have been injured, there is no exit strategy and for all of our nation’s bloody sacrifice we have accomplished little more than transforming a secular Iraq into another Iran. With all things swell in sweltering Babylon, it is comforting to know that the Pentagon is paying close attention to military affairs.
Just this week, for example, four-star general Kevin P. Byrnes was relieved of his (…) -

31 commentsWhy I must tell the president to stop the war BEFORE ANOTHER SON DIES NEEDLESSLY
By Cindy Sheehan
I will never, ever forget the night of April 4, 2004, when I found out that my son Casey had been killed in Iraq.
I will also never forget the day when we buried my sweet boy, my oldest son. If I live to be a very old lady and forget everything else, I will never forget when the general handed me the folded flag that had lain on Casey’s coffin, as his brother and sisters, standing behind (…) -

We still have so many great things happening at Camp Casey. In spite of all the smears and lies, people are still coming.
The most amazing thing today was learning that Camp Caseys are opening and spreading all over the country. They have been set up in Boston, Portland, Seattle, and elsewhere. If you can’t make it to Camp Casey, set up your own version. Camp Caseys are amazing places full of love and hope. I am so gratified that the movement is spreading.

Reality Hits Camp Casey
The last 10 minutes have been very difficult here. I am at the Peace House editing video. First came a phone call that someone drove their vehicle over the Arlington West Crosses at the camp. I will head out to the camp now to get more details.
Within minutes one of the volunteers logged on to a website and learned that her friend was killed in Iraq. She burst into tears, Cindy was sitting across the room and (…) -
American Imperialism vs. Native Hawaiian Sovereignty

1 commentAmerican Imperialism vs. the Restoration of a Kingdom
by B.Z. Bywydd (GNN) August 11, 2005
Lately I see Native Hawaiian sovereignty compared with Naziism, dismissed as a failed dream, belittled, feared and misrepresented, all by people who seem to have no historical or cultural understanding of Native issues. They speak of "losing the Aloha" and warn Native Hawaiians of this end and that, as if they alone hold the keys to the future.
Most Americans cannot step out of our circle of (…)
