WASHINGTON (CNN) — Eighty-nine Democratic members of the U.S. Congress last week sent President George W. Bush a letter asking for explanation of a secret British memo that said "intelligence and facts were being fixed" to support the Iraq war in mid-2002.
The timing of the memo was well before the president brought the issue to Congress for approval.
The Times of London newspaper published the memo — actually minutes of a high-level meeting on Iraq held July 23, 2002 — on May 1. (…)

The Edison/Mitofsky report and the theory of the shy republican
12 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
6 commentsByron York has treated me fairly and without rancor, and I am grateful for that. Certainly I am more in his wheelhouse than mine, and I’m honored that he saw fit to engage me in this little set-to we’ve conducted since Monday. I fired a lead right, Rep. John Conyers shouted encouragement from my corner, then York delivered a hook to the body. I shot back an uppercut, then he loaded up a right hand and attempted to bring an end to the discussion.
Byron York’s most recent refutation of my (…) -
Credibility no longer counts
12 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
WASHINGTON - Funny thing about America and Great Britain. I once thought their people cared about the credibility - and accountability of their leaders - especially when it comes to war and peace. But now I note with regret that the voters in both nations have other priorities.
We’re talking about the fact that the leaders of both nations chose to invade Iraq for flimsy reasons that were deliberately drummed up to convince their people that a third-world country was a threat to them. (…) -

17 commentsAre we going to stand idly by as more sovereign countries are attacked? This farce has nothing to do with getting rid of nuclear weapons in the Middle East or else the US would shut down the billions of dollars of aid that Israel receives. Money that is funneled into its massive chemical, biological and nuclear arsenal, which is turning Israel into a dominant superpower. Their military & political might remains unchecked. They are in firm control of the world’s remaining superpower, the (…)

The conclusion here is that the data released by the polling organizations points toward fraud in several precincts, fraud that pushed results toward Bush. If the polling organizations (Edison and Mitofsky) would release their raw data, we would know more. But they won’t.
This is not about sour grapes: this is about election integrity in 2005, 2006, (…) -
The Number One Threat to Progressive Politics in America: Bob Casey jr.

Centrists in the Democratic party don’t want the party to become more progressive. They want to move it to the right, to make the average Democratic candidate look more and more like a Republican. They will use the Bob Casey jr. campaign for US senate as an example to set a precedent which will be devastating to progressives nationwide.
Recent polls have shown that Rick Santorum is very vulnerable in PA-a state where Kerry won and the last governor elected (…) -
Marines surprised by insurgent’s preparation for attack

23 commentsJames Janega - Chicago Tribune May 9, 2005
AL QAIM, Iraq - The Marines who swept into the Euphrates River town of Ubaydi confronted an enemy they had not expected to find - and one that attacked in surprising ways.
As they pushed from house to house in early fighting, trying to flush out the insurgents who had attacked their column with mortar fire, the Marines ran into sandbagged emplacements behind garden walls. Commanders said Marines also found a house where insurgents were crouching (…) -
14 US Troops killed in three-day period in Iraq
10 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
29 commentsOf course one doesn’t want to glorify US Deaths, but merely highlight that these 14 soldiers would still be alive, their children would still have fathers, if Bush and Blair had not planned this war of conquest as proven by "the memo."
A total of 14 US servicemen were killed in Iraq between Saturday and Monday, the US military said Tuesday, making it one of the deadliest periods this year.../... (AFP)

Election Fraud 2004- The biggest story of our lives

32 commentsAt 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on Election Day, I checked the sportsbook odds in Las Vegas and via the offshore bookmakers to see the odds as of that moment on the Presidential election. John Kerry was a two-to-one favorite. You can look it up.
People who have lived in the sports world as I have, bettors in particular, have a feel for what I am about to say about this: these people are extremely scientific in their assessments. These people understand which information to trust and which (…) -
Soaring birth deformities and child cancer rates in Iraq
10 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
17 commentsIraqi doctors are making renewed efforts to bring to the world’s attention the growth in birth deformities and cancer rates among the country’s children. The medical crisis is being directly blamed on the widespread use of depleted uranium (DU) munitions by the US and British forces in southern Iraq during the 1991 Gulf War, and the even greater use of DU during the 2003 invasion.
The rate of birth defects, after increasing ten-fold from 11 per 100,000 births in 1989 to 116 per 100,000 in (…)
