When President Chavez called Bush "the Devil" he was lambasted for making that comment, but I read this comment from Bush’s Press Secretary, Tony Snow concerning Mark Foley’s criminal actions "Yes, look, I hate to tell you, but it’s not always pretty up there on Capitol Hill.
And there have been other scandals, as you know, that have been more than simply naughty emails."
To call the exchange of emails between a former congressman and a minor page is not naughty but (…)

AFGHANISTAN: NATO IS NOW US-ATO

The pre-planned war in Afghanistan will be 5 years old on 7 October. The PNAC gang had their eyes on Afghanistan and its oil prior to 9/11, as seen in R. M. Gerecht’s (March ’01) NY Times article, reprinted on the PNAC website. “In 1996, it seemed possible that American-built gas and oil pipelines from Central Asia could run through an Afghanistan ruled by one leader. ... .To really put Mr. bin Laden out of business, America must shut down his operations inside Afghanistan,” (…) -
Upon Red Rivers of Genocide

Living Inside Hell on Earth
Daily upon the rivers that birthed civilization can the flow of crimson colored blood be seen journeying over liquid roadways through the land of Mesopotamia, its accumulated and growing volume the result of scattered bodies, bullet hole riddled men and bloated humans, all silent witnesses to the devastation that has cursed the Iraqi people.
Tainted with the flow of human wickedness, the Tigris and Euphrates spread their polluted waters over the entire culture (…) -
Iran Sparked Islamic Divide, Iran Only Can Defuse It
19 October 2006 par (Open-Publishing)

Tehran for the first time and at the highest level has this week went public on the so far taboo Sunni-Shiite divide, accused the American Great Satan of exploiting and fuelling the historic Islamic sectarian tragedy, which is true, but offered no way out of the divide except a verbal call for unity, which has to be tested against the Iranian policies on the ground in Iraq, where the Iranian call can make or break.
Iran’s highest authority, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali (…) -
Gaza doctors say patients suffering mystery injuries after Israeli attacks
19 October 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsby Rory McCarthy
Doctors in Gaza have reported previously unseen injuries from Israeli weapons that cause severe burning and deep internal wounds often resulting in amputations or death.
The injuries were first seen in July, when the Israeli military launched a series of operations in Gaza following the capture of an Israeli soldier by Palestinian militants.
Doctors said that, unlike traditional combat injuries from shells or bullets, there were no large shrapnel pieces found in the (…) -

Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp
17 October 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
by Sarah Meyer
It is the 25th anniversary of Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp. We lived outside the US base near Newbury, Berkshire, where US Cruise missiles were to be installed. Sometimes there were two or three dozen of us. Sometimes there many more women, especially on weekends and holidays. The first big demonstration, "Embrace the Base,’ brought thousands of women to Greenham. Then Greenham became international. All Greenham gates had women living nearby. Women were supported by (…) -

Congressman, Tim Bishop: “Why Fear a Trial?”
By Mary MacElveen
October 17, 2006
As I attended a debate between Congressman Tim Bishop (D 1st Cong. District, NY) and his Republican challenger, Italo Zanzi: when both were asked of the detainee bill recently approved by Congress which will be signed by Bush today, this is what candidate Zanzi stated that he “doesn’t believe Bush can claim anyone as a terrorist.”
As I read some of contents of this detainee bill which is called ‘Military (…) -

Fear for an individual’s personal security common to a people whose leaders are taking their nation down the road to dictatorship has begun to grip America.
In church this Sunday one man said only half in jest, "When the arrests begin I will (…) -
