Who cares that millions of children are suffering and dying around the world, in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Palestine, Gaza, Sudan, the Congo, Colombia, and Mexico, and in the United States?
Why are American voters only given the choice of voting for members of the political, social and economic elite to be their president, rather than for leaders who care for and identify with the needs of ordinary people?
Do presidential candidates supplant their empathy with loyalty to (…)

The fuel of sanity

Dear friends,
I have just read an article regarding the water/sanitation crisis in Gaza ( http://electronicintifada.net/v2/article11064.shtml ) caused by the fuel crisis resulting from the EMBARGO.
Without fuel, the electric power grid is down and the generators and drainage pumps cannot provide water.
This situation is threatening the survival of the people. All these oil producers, all these international agencies and great lectures on "Water for All" are unable or unwilling to (…) -

24 April 2010 par (Open-Publishing)
6 commentsArmenian Genocide Day (24 April) and Australia and New Zealand (NZ) Anzac Day (25 April) are tightly linked by history - but this is resolutely ignored by a genocide-complicit, genocide-ignoring Apartheid Australia that is presently involved in 7 genocidal atrocities, the reality of which it also ignores.
April 24 is Armenian Genocide Day that remembers the 1.5 million Armenians murdered by the Turkish Government in 1915-1923.
April 25 remembers Australian and New Zealand war dead in (…) -

9 April 2010 par (Open-Publishing)
Mainstream media lying by omission or commission is a major reality throughout the World. The taxpayer-funded Australia Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is the Australian equivalent of the taxpayer-funded British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and, like the BBC, is involved in egregious ignoring of the horrendous carnage associated with US Alliance violence in a swathe of countries from Occupied Somalia, through Occupied Palestine, Occupied Syria, Occupied Iraq and Occupied Afghanistan to US (…)

US special forces soldiers dug bullets out of their victims’ bodies in the bloody aftermath of a botched night raid, then washed the wounds with alcohol before lying to their superiors about what happened, Afghan investigators have told The Times.
Two pregnant women, a teenage girl, a police officer and his brother were shot on February 12 when US and Afghan special forces stormed their home in Khataba village, outside Gardez in eastern Afghanistan. The precise (…) -

Bibi makes it personal Ahmed Amr
Aside from the usual canards, Israel’s premier is claiming ancient heritage on the basis of his immigrant father’s assumed name. Well, why not, ponders Ahmed Amr*
April 3, 2010
You can’t make this stuff up. It was a Monday, the first day of spring in 2010, a time usually reserved for a little fresh air. Alas, the prime minister of Israel was dispensing noxious fumes in a speech to AIPAC, the pro-Israeli lobbying conglomerate that is considered the (…)
