We Come in Peace: Not!

At one time, not so many decades ago, we had men and women of peaceful disposition and effect upon this planet. People like Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King, Mahatma Ghandi,Dag Hammerskold... Even Jesse Jackson had much influence in the Middle East.
Where are the peacemakers now? Where are the men and women of good will who have profound influence on the leaders of difficult countries..of ANY countries?

When is the last time you heard a peep from a Republican party operatchik about "peace"? That’s what I thought you’d say!

Olmert is a warmonger, and the leaders of Hezbollah are ready to give blow for nasty blow even though weaker, Iran’s leader is a whackadoodle, Syria’s Assad is playing games, the King of Jordan is a U.S. puppet, Egypt is staying out of the mess, Iraq’s Miliki is an anti-Semite, Karzai doesn’t say boo!,and the E.U. just wants to forget about the Mid East, China and Russia never did have peacemakers but only desire more revenues from the various conflicts,while George Bush, Dick Cheney and Condi Rice desire only a situation which promotes more profitability....and that, of course, is WAR.

Jimmy Carter must be too tired,Billy Graham too old, his son too ineffective, Bill Clinton too interested in world trade, and Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson too indifferent and too busy raising cash.

Peace can go to Hell!
