There will be time for analising and reconstructing, but now we want only to thank all those who have been cooperating for this wonderful result, starting from the arab and muslim world that all over the world and in Irak, mobilised with choral voice. Thanks to civil society, to political forces, to religious organisations, to the organisations of the Iraqi resistence.

Thanks to the great international solidarity. Thanks to the italian civil society and italian political forces. Thanks to the Governements, the italian one and those in the area.

Many people have been participating following the line of dialogue and cooperation.
At the beginning of this event we said that the kidnapping of our four peace operators was a metaphor of the war. That in Iraq there are millions of other persons hostages, of the war and violence, prisoners and abducted. We will not forget them, and we ask to everybody not to forget them.

We wish to hope that also the liberation of the four "margherite" could be a metaphor of the end of the war and the occupation, that could prevail also for all the iraqi people the line of dialogue and the silence of weapons.

This is a moment of great happiness that we share with our comrades of Un Ponte per...

Their extraordinary work has been during these very long days a point of reference for all the peace movement.

The very broad solidarity network that has been built up in Iraq, in the Arab world, within the isalmic communities for the liberation, has been precious and it is a fundamental heritage for a world refusing the "clash of civilisations". So as the international solidarity from the peace movement.

We appeal for the continuity of the campaign "Let us free the peace" (Liberare la pace), for the life and freedom of the other hostages and the whole Iraqi people, who still during these hours are subjected to the brutality of the occupation, of the war and terror.

Let this great happiness become a new energy to relaunch the struggle for withdraw our soldiers home and, in so doing, contribute to open the way to peace.
