Report: 9/11 Fire Caused Building to Collapse
Federal investigators issued a report Thursday concluding that fires brought down a skyscraper next to New York’s twin towers on Sept. 11, refuting conspiracy theorists who have long believed that explosives caused the collapse.
Scientists with the National Institute of Standards and Technology say their three-year investigation of the collapse of the 47-story World Trade Center 7 was the first known instance of fire (…)

The Razorcake Interview: "Vote theft: class war by other means”
21 August 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
We need to learn the issues. People are unarmed. That is, people know that they’re getting shafted, but they don’t really know exactly how.
The American press corps has finally begun to report on illegal activities of the Bush administration. However, the subject of election theft remains largely ignored. In recent years, the Republican Party has used an array of tactics to subtract votes from opposing candidates. These include sending defective voting machines to strongly Democratic (…) -
WAG THE DOG: HOW TO CONCEAL MASSIVE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE
16 August 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
By Ellen Brown “I’m in show business, why come to me?” “War is show business, that’s why we’re here.” – “Wag the Dog” (1997 film)
Last week, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had just announced record losses, and so had most reporting corporations. Unemployment was mounting, the foreclosure crisis was deepening, state budgets were in shambles, and massive bailouts were everywhere.
Investors had every reason to expect the dollar and the stock market to plummet, and gold and oil to shoot up. (…) -
The Latest Bush War
13 August 2008 par (Open-Publishing)

Ah, the time grows short from May to November, but still there is time for one more Bush war. The Russian incursion into Georgia has been heavy-handed and overbearing, but not really all that surprising.
Russia is a nation on the far edge of Europe, and prior to the 20th century all political communications were sent by dispatch. Before the Czars could hear about an issue, in many cases it was already over. Ruling over a huge empire with weak and almost non-existent (…) -
Deal with the credit crisis at the Local level
11 August 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
With the trouble that around 75% of Americans are in bad credit, maybe its time to encourage local legislation to deal with this. In Philadelphia, when the forclosure process begins they require both partys to come to a settlement that the debtor can afford. Simply rewrite the laws at the local level and ban forclosures. the local municipalities will keep on getting the local taxes this way
If this were enacted it would at least keep us from having neighbouthood values decrease even (…) -
John Edwards Fiddled While America Burned
11 August 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
“History is indeed little more than the register of the crimes, follies and misfortunes of mankind.” - Edward Gibbon, author of “The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.”
It is rare when I agree with an editorial in Rupert Murdock’s rag—the “New York Post.” But, on Aug. 9, 2008, the tabloid got it right when it ranted about John Edwards’ extramarital affair, while running, in 2006, for president in the Democracy Party primaries. The “Post” roared about the fallen political star: “His (…) -

MASSIVE US ARMADA HEADS FOR IRAN AS MAJOR WAR LOOMS LARGE!
8 August 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsA massive US naval armada is heading for the Middle East. Meanwhile Russia and Georgia have engaged forces in what appears to be a major geopolitical crisis and developing confrontation in the region. This is probably as dangerous a constellation of events as has yet occurred. Don’t just wait for it on CNN.
Operation Brimstone ended only one week ago. This was the joint US/UK/French naval war games in the Atlantic Ocean preparing for a naval blockade of Iran and the likely resulting war (…) -
9/11 Skeptics in New Jersey Confront David Boren
7 August 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
By Michael P. Wright
Observe that Boren’s response was to play dumb when they asked him if he supported the call for a new official 9/11 investigation. Boren claims that he was no longer involved with the intelligence community after he left the U.S. Senate in 1994. I am quite sure that this was just another one of Boren’s many lies.
At the same time, never able to repress his self-aggrandizing nature, Boren boasts that he was having breakfast with CIA director George Tenet on the (…) -
30pc of U.S. Army may be robotic by 2020
6 August 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
Tue, Aug 5 11:05 AM
Washington, August 5 (ANI): U.S. technologists have revealed that the country’s military has plans to have about 30 per cent of the Army comprised of robotic forces by approximately 2020.
Doug Few and Bill Smart of Washington University in St. Louis say that robots are increasingly taking over more soldier duties in Iraq and Afghanistan, and that the U.S. Army wants to make further additions to its robotic fleet.
They, however, also point out that the machines still (…)
