Having rendered much of the country of Iraq virtually uninhabitable, the destructive forces of U.S. imperialism are now being focused more intensely on Afghanistan and Iran.
The pressure against Iran is still in the threat stage, but Afghanistan has been suffering terrible devastation delivered by high-tech weaponry against small villages. The attacks by the U.S./NATO forces are now spilling over into the border areas of neighboring (…)

Congress Hears Ringing Call for Impeachment
25 July 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsBy David Swanson
The House Judiciary Committee today, Friday, July 25th, will put impeachment squarely back "on the table" and restored to its prominent place in our Constitution.
Elliott Adams, President of Veterans for Peace, and a descendant of American revolutionary Sam Adams, will deliver this prepared testimony, in which, if his 5 minutes allow him to reach his conclusion, he will say:
"For us veterans, when our time came, we volunteered our very lives for this republic; for the (…) -

25 July 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsThe die is cast and for reasons that only a privileged few know, you Sir, will be the next President of the United States of America. Your next 4 years will be a turning point in US history and planet earth. CHANGE, your advisors and high stake investors offer the nation will undoubtedly be the same rhetoric and empty promises that make up a political campaign, that campaigns for appointment for any public office in America.
The White House will be the Black House to some, the Aryan (…) -
Exposing Bush’s historic abuse of power
23 July 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsJul. 23, 2008 | The last several years have brought a parade of dark revelations about the George W. Bush administration, from the manipulation of intelligence to torture to extrajudicial spying inside the United States. But there are growing indications that these known abuses of power may only be the tip of the iceberg. Now, in the twilight of the Bush presidency, a movement is stirring in Washington for a sweeping new inquiry into White House malfeasance that would be modeled after the (…)

Catch 23

Probably the most profound statement made by a US President in the last fifty years was “It all depends on what your definition of is, is.” We no longer have Presidents who make profound statements, they would be lost over the heads of the masses and so the old axiom kicks in: If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.

Democrats Voted For FISA Out Of Fear
21 July 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsIt was not the fear of terrorist attacks by Islamic fundamentalists that motivated Barack Obama, many Democratic senators and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to grant President George W. Bush expanded powers to wiretap Americans in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
Instead, it was the fear of Republican campaign operatives who paralyze Democratic lawmakers with these words: "My Democratic opponent is weak on terrorism."
The advice that Washington wise men give to Democratic (…) -

Two years ago, New Hampshire refused to accept heating oil from Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, the pro-Castro U.S. critic who once called President Bush "the devil." But with fuel prices rising, well, free oil is free oil.
With the state’s blessing, New Hampshire residents will be receiving some of (…) -

How Odd ! Nelson Mandela is no longer a terrorist !!
By Bouthaina Shaaban

Did you read this most important news item which is that the American congress had made the decision on Thursday June 26/2008, to drop the "terrorist" label off the name of the most important world hero of struggle for freedom and justice, the past president of the Republic of South Africa, Mr. Nelson Mandela? This means, of course, that for almost half a century the National African Congress and (…) -
Why Was JFK Murdered?
19 July 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
3 comments“Which forces are in control, the public or shadow powers?” Peter Dale Scott, author, essayist and poet.
What made John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) such a threat to the “Shadow Government” that he had to be murdered? To begin with, he was an “American” in the finest sense of that word; a student of history and of the classics; and a lover of the Republic. JFK represented the best of the post-WWII generation. He put the U.S. first in all things, particularly in the area of foreign policy. (…) -

Barack Obama’s 300 Spartans (Advisors)?
It seems that you claim to be truthful and advocate CHANGE, and yet you enlist 300 soldiers, (advisors) to give advice on "as the world turns", is quite alarming. If you sir, need 300 paid advisors to help you make a decision then you have not done your homework. You have managed to create your own independent congress of people that are burning thru your $5.00 internet donations like sand thru an hour glass. It alarms me that if THEY decide to (…)
