Exorcising Our Demons
Into the infancy of the 21st century has humanity somehow managed to reach, despite our insatiable addiction for violence and suffering that has for millennia been both endemic and devastating, in spite of the continued tribalism, now called the nation state, that fosters competition, ignorance, fear, hatred and war among the peoples of the world, even with the hierarchical need among peoples to perpetually follow corrupt, immoral and warmongering leadership that (…)

removal of corrupt governments
1 November 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
It has become abundantly clear to a majority of the American people, not to mention the rest of the world, that the Bush administration has utterly failed to conduct a satisfactory investigation into the events of 9/11. There has been no satisfactory explanation for the failure of our air defenses on that day, and the suspicion that the government itself was complicit in the attacks is widespread and growing rapidly.
Since the 9/11 attacks have been used by the Bush administration to (…) -
Kerry’s commments: A different take, and the perfect response to angry Reps!
31 October 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
5 commentsSo the big controversy today (Tues,Halloween), is John Kerry’s urging of young men (and women) to get a solid educaton or they might wind up fighting in Iraq. On the surface it LOOKS like Kerry is dissing the US military (as I’ve read elsewhere). In my opinion: No way! He is just counceling those who might NOT choose to run off to any so-called "noble war" just because they have no alternative, because they need the money.
John Kerry, although not my choice for president (didn’t fight (…) -
Active Duty Troops Appeal for Redress up to 713: Corporate Media Desperate to Discredit
31 October 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
Several members of Congress have expressed interest in receiving the Appeal for Redress.
Click here to send the Appeal to your elected representatives.
It appears that the Corporate media is afraid of the growing movement to truly support the troops by bringing them home, so they are attempting to discredit the “appeal for redress” website and active duty troops on the growing list with their recent article “Activists can’t validate soldiers’ names”
A group claiming earlier (…) -

By Mary MacElveen
October 31, 2006
Before I have a conversation with all of you, I want you to please take a look at the picture below and gaze upon this little girl’s face for a moment or two. She is deserving of your attention. She is the representation of all little girls who must now go on living life without her father. As many have focused in on the children of Iraq in this heinous war, we often (…) -

For the NY State Comptroller Race equate Callahan with Enron
By Mary MacElveen
October 30, 2006
In the race for New York State Comptroller which pits the Democrat incumbent Alan Hevesi against his Republican challenger, Chris Callahan to those who are vested in the New York State retirement fund, I want you to look at Callahan and think Enron.
Yes, Callahan wants to give you the freedom to invest your retirement in whichever way you so choose, in my opinion that is gambling with your (…) -

2 commentsFor life is a tragedy, wherein we sit as Spectators awhile, and act out our own Part in it.
Jonathan Swift
Now that October and late-day sunshine recede into oblivion, and there has been no "October Surprise," the world can breathe easier. Right? Don’t bet on it. In this environment, ruled principally by knaves and fools, it’s not wise to count your chickens too early. November, after all, is the 9th inning (politically speaking) and there are two outs - Iraq and Afghanistan. Is it (…) -

To Peter King and Italo Zanzi: Now what were you saying of border security? By Mary MacElveen October 30, 2006
I need all of you to read in its entirety Cong. Ron Paul’s press release in which he speaks of the NAFTA Superhighway. For those of you who would even vote for a congressional candidate that screams at the top of their lungs for border security such as incumbent Peter King (R 3rd Cong. Dist., NY) and Italo Zanzi who is the Republican challenger to Congressman, Tim Bishop (D 1st (…) -

Another Disastrous Coverup
29 October 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsLate on the evening of October 10, 2006, Iraqi resistance groups lobbed mortar and rocket rounds into the immense ‘Forward Base Falcon,’ the largest American military base in Iraq, located 13 km south of the Green Zone in Baghdad. In addition to accurate mortar fire, Grad and Katyusha rockets were also used.
Falcon base was designed to house a large contingent of American troops, mostly drawn from the 4th Infantry Division, stationed at Fr. Bliss, Texas. At the time of the attack, there (…)
