    So the big controversy today (Tues,Halloween), is John Kerry’s urging of young men (and women) to get a solid educaton or they might wind up fighting in Iraq. On the surface it LOOKS like Kerry is dissing the US military (as I’ve read elsewhere). In my opinion: No way! He is just counceling those who might NOT choose to run off to any so-called "noble war" just because they have no alternative, because they need the money.

    Late on the evening of October 10, 2006, Iraqi resistance groups lobbed mortar and rocket rounds into the immense ‘Forward Base Falcon,’ the largest American military base in Iraq, located 13 km south of the Green Zone in Baghdad.
