Publisher’s note: While Conyers backs away from impeachment indicating that the allegations of misconduct are not proven, he is also trying to pass a law to stop Bush from illegal wiretapping...a law to force Bush to obey the law. Why is he making it seem as if the case for impeachment over illegal wiretapping has not been made when he knows that Bush has broken the law? As Republicans have become increasingly nervous about whether they will be able to maintain control of the House in the (…)

Confident U.S. generals commit war crimes

4 commentsUranium as a force multiplier Bob Nichols
May 27, 2005
It always pays to listen, and to listen exactly, to what the senior U.S. military officials say about fighting wars. In 1991, Gen. Colin Powell sent 500,000 men with Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf, lots of 70-ton Abrams Tanks and other soldier equipment for a 100-hour war against a weak third world country - Iraq. It was called the Powell Doctrine and required a quick enemy defeat by "overwhelming force," "defined goals" and an "exit (…) -
Iran Top Secret: Everything You Know Is Wrong

3 commentsIRAN TOP SECRET: EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG
What if everything that you think that you know for certain about Iran is wrong? After 27 years of status quo, why do you believe that the Brits and the Yanks really want to get rid of the Islamic regime in Iran? Is it possible that the oft-stated slogan of “regime change in Iran” is cloaking a naked, 27-year-old status-quo truth? Is it possible that the British and American emperors are wearing no clothes?
Recent warnings about an (…) -
On Memorial Day: 3 Letters to Bush
27 May 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentDear President Bush: I’m writing to you from Iraq to say to your honor I’m true. I know that I’m fighting to keep our land free to stamp out a tyrant, protect family. This is a tough war, it’s hard but it’s worth it, but I know you’ll protect me, unlike that John Murtha!
....John. Q. ********************************* Mr.Bush: I’m here at the hospital in Ramstein Air Base an IED blew off a lot of my face Part of my spleen was destroyed in addition, and docs say I’m not in the finest (…) -
Con[gress]
27 May 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
Con artists come from diverse backgrounds. They may come from a broken home or the most stable and well-adjusted of families. They may have been afforded an excellent education, or very little. Such backgrounds do not set them apart.
Nor are they set apart by their country of origin, sexual preferences, political bent, religious beliefs, or ingrained social values. Actually, pertaining those last three, the con artist is a free spirit. His own personal welfare far outweighs any such (…) -
NET ZERO: The "Big Show" in Washington
26 May 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
Ka-Blam!, Ka-Boom! Gunshots rang out today in the Congress’ parking lot and all Hell broke loose!
Panic and turmoil! People running helter skelter, mass confusion and CNN right there on the scene.
For the next 4 hours CNN dutifully reported on this high priority story. It seems some unidentified man fired a gun somewhere,at someone or something for some reason. CNN managed to tell us that much at least.
Then came the banks of ambulances, City and State cops, and of course the elite (…) -

Latest Confrontation Between US Empire and Evo Morales and Hugo Chavez

3 commentsThe Latest Confrontation Between the US Empire and Evo Morales and Hugo Chavez - by Stephen Lendman
I’ve said before it’s easy to know what the empire is thinking (especially its powerful movers and shakers sitting in corporate boardrooms) by reading the Wall Street Journal daily as I do. Despite its heavy pro-empire bias, readers can also get some real news and information - something nearly impossible elsewhere in the corporate media especially from the venerable New York Times I’ve (…) -
GOP: Mowed Down By The Bushwacker
26 May 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsWhat we’ve all been praying for is going to happen: George bush and the Crony Crew are going to expose every Republican lie and dirty secret ever cooked up in any copy of their books. Indeed, it’s already BEEN happening. Their rationale for the Iraq war has been shattered numerous times, everytime they try to flip it to something else it gets blown out, and nobody but the densest believe any of it now. It’s become painfully obvious they did it so they could siphon off defense contracting (…)

FOX News agrees with Democratic party-Democrats Must End Talk of Bush Impeachment
26 May 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsNow that everyone recognizes what I first said last September - that Democrats have a real chance of taking back control of the U.S. House of Representatives this Fall - it’s time for Democrats to start acting like winners.
Step one would be for the Democratic leadership to definitively put to rest any loose talk of impeaching President Bush. They should say in one and two syllable words that impeachment will not happen once they are in the majority and thus take away a potential rallying (…)
