Thousands of teachers march downtown demanding better pay, in Oaxaca, Mexico on Friday June 16, 2006. On Wednesday June 14, police and striking teachers clashed in this southern city after authorities used tear gas to oust the educators from a tent city they had set up in the popular tourist destination’s central plaza.
