THE MEMO is the final straw.
We’re not talking circumstantial evidence anymore. It is now verified fact that George Bush and Tony Blair agreed to go to war in early 2002, and that they "fixed the facts" to make the case for war. If this isn’t a case for impeachment, then nothing is.
What facts did they fix?
In Britain, Blair’s henchmen fabricated the "fake dossier" (1991 grad student’s thesis) and soon-to-be interim Iraqi PM Ayad Allawi supplied the 45 min claim.
Bush threatened (…)

Name Withheld Pending Notification: A Sad Mother’s Day for Some
9 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
5 commentsWhen I woke up this morning, the official death count in Iraq was 1576. The first thing I do in the morning after I boot up my computer is to check the DoD website to see if any more of our nations precious children were killed in this horror of a nonsensical war.
I was talking to another Gold Star Mom, Celeste Zappala, today and she sadly advised me that the count rose to 1579 (note: the official count is now 1594) while she was out to lunch.
Celeste and I and too many other moms know (…) -

As the sun came up over Brick Lane on Friday a new dawn had truly broken over the East End of London - and over British politics.
The impact of Respect’s victory in Bethnal Green & Bow and our spectacular results elsewhere will only fully become apparent in the weeks and months to come.
But already we have some of the measure of (…) -
How to End the War
6 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)

The central question we need to answer is this: What were the real reasons for the Bush administration’s invasion and occupation of Iraq?
When we identify why we really went to war-not the cover reasons or the rebranded reasons, freedom and democracy, but the real reasons-then we can become more effective anti-war activists.
The most effective and strategic way to stop this occupation and prevent future wars is to deny the people who wage these wars their spoils-to make (…) -

5 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsSEDGEFIELD, England - Polls say Tony Blair’s Labour Party is on course to win Thursday’s election, but the father of a British soldier killed in Iraq is convinced he can bring about “regime change” in the Prime Minister’s back yard.
Reg Keys, whose son died at the hands of a mob in June 2003, is standing against Blair in his Sedgefield constituency in northeast England, arguing his son had died in an illegal war and that the premier had lied over the reasons for it.
The odds are heavily (…) -

10 commentsby Laura Corradi, Ph.D. Amazons
In the empire of wealth cancer hits one every three adults - while billion of dollars are spent in research, scientists are divided over causes of this illness and strategies of prevention. Two competing systems of explanation contend the cancer arena: the genetic-behavioristic paradigm (dominant) and the environmental-social paradigm (emergent).
In this context, a cancer activism comes into sight as a new social movement against corporate polluters, and (…) -

Iraq: We Are Winning, Not
28 April 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
99 commentsIn Bushzarro world, an undiminished “insurgency” over the period of a year is considered winning the “war” (occupation), according to Chairman of the Bushzarro Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Richard Myers . “I’m going to say this: I think we are winning, okay. I think we’re definitely winning. I think we’ve been winning for some time.”
Sure, General, we’re winning, and I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.
According to Myers, since “coalition forces” (more accurately a loose and (…)
