WASHINGTON, June 22 - Under a secret Bush administration program initiated weeks after the Sept. 11 attacks, counterterrorism officials have gained access to financial records from a vast international database and examined banking transactions involving thousands of Americans and others in the United States, according to government and industry officials.
The program is limited, government officials say, to tracing transactions of people suspected of ties to Al Qaeda by reviewing records (…)

Wall Street Journal Calls Hugo Chavez A Threat to World Peace
24 June 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsThe Wall Street Journal Calls Hugo Chavez A Threat to World Peace - by Stephen Lendman
You won’t find commentary and language any more hostile to Hugo Chavez than on the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal. Their June 23 piece by Mary Anastasia O’Grady in the Americas column is a clear, jaw-dropping example. It’s practically blood-curdling in its vitriol which calls Hugo Chavez a threat to world peace. The sad part of it is Journal readers believe this stuff and are likely to (…) -
What’s Next for the Palestinians - Starvation?
24 June 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentWashington, D.C. - The topic under discussion was grim - “The Politics of Starvation: The Humanitarian Crisis in Palestine.” In Room SC-6 of the U.S. Capitol, the Council for the National Interest (CNI) authored a public forum, the 18th in a series over the last few years, dealing with Middle East issues, and in particular, the Israel-Palestine Question. (1) The two presenters at the standing-room- only event on June 23, 2006, were Tim Rothermel, a former UN chief of its Development Program (…)

Surf’s Up!..Bush’s Base is back and all is good!
24 June 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsHave you noticed the change in the country since Karl Rove got "off the Plame hook" and came back into the fold to steer the ship of state? The mood in the White House since recent changes, a "surprise" visit to Iraq, and the capture of Zarquawi, is positively ecstatic.
Bush’s energy has been renewed, his "Stones" strut, "Heh heh" smirk is back, and best of all, thanks to some manipulations by the Rovester, the ever gullible Republican base is edging back to the Bush camp, and all appears (…) -

The following story could be true. Some of the names have been changed to protect the guilty.
I.
The United States of America was entering its twentieth year under the dictatorship of George W. Bush. After successfully stealing the 2000 and 2004 elections, with little outcry from the people or the corporate-controlled media, the Bush dictatorship had eliminated elections altogether, realizing (…) -

CrytoCracy is Killing Our Humanity
22 June 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentThroughout history it has been through the establishment of secrets in the areas of knowledge, ideas, news of events and many other types of social information that has provided the need cover to rule over humanity through lies and the subversion of information. This wholesale destruction of TRUTH and openness is thus then the primary means to enslave and mind control the mass of humanity through out the epoch of time.
Humans are message processing creatures that after acquiring basic (…) -
SANTORUM TOUTS `WMD FIND"
22 June 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
11 commentsYesterday the Neocon extremist , Sen . Rick Santorum (R-Pa), appeared before the floor of the United States Senate and proceeded to make quite the ass of himself .... Little Ricky , down 18 % points in his pathetic ’06 re-election bid , claimed tidings of great joy : WMD found in Iraq ! ..... The ’pro-life’ Senator failed to note the small detail that the miraculous discoveries’ were , in point of fact , nothing more than the chemical residue contained within severley decayed (…)

Updated: 6:47 p.m. ET June 21, 2006
June 21, 2006 - Good news can fade fast. Last week George W. Bush enjoyed a slight bump in the polls-and, perhaps more importantly, a morale boost-with news of the death of Abu Mussab al-Zarqawi, a surprise trip to Baghdad and word that Karl Rove will not be charged in the (…) -
Unexpected Guest Drops In On Iraq’s Prime Minister
22 June 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsUnexpected Guest Drops In On Iraq’s Prime Minister Dave Lindorff Thursday, June 15, 2006 I don’t know which is more pathetic and embarrassing: the president’s cowardly trip into the Green Zone in Baghdad, in which he didn’t notify Iraq’s prime minister of his "visit" until five minutes before the ostensible leader of Iraq was ushered in to meet the great Decider, or the fawning way the American media covered this farce.
The visit itself was hardly the bold stroke it was portrayed as. (…)
