Breaking the Last Taboo
The United States of Israel?
By ROBERT FISK
Stephen Walt towers over me as we walk in the Harvard sunshine past Eliot Street, a big man who needs to be big right now (he’s one of two authors of an academic paper on the influence of America’s Jewish lobby) but whose fame, or notoriety, depending on your point of view, is of no interest to him. "John and I have deliberately avoided the television shows because we (…) -

On Trial - Saddam Hussein or Iraqi Special Tribunal?
30 April 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
By Diana Lee
Out of 500 possible charges, prosecutors in the acclaimed “trial of the century” have narrowed it down to 12 documented cases to be presented against the former leader of Iraq, Saddam Hussein. Since October 19, 2005, the slow progress of Saddam’s first trial has descended into mayhem. The circumstances surrounding the trial and the court proceedings have raised serious doubts about the fairness and legitimacy of the Iraqi Special Tribunal.

Steppingstone to War-House passes ’Iran Freedom Support Act’
29 April 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsIt is "a steppingstone to war," said Rep. Dennis Kucinich, during the debate over the so-called Iran Freedom Support Act, and if this vote is any measure of the degree of congressional opposition to the looming prospect of war with Tehran, then we have a lot to worry about.
Only 21 members of the House stood up against the overwhelming bipartisan wave of support for the bill, which would impose economic sanctions on the Iranians - and openly proclaims the goal of effecting "regime change." (…) -

US to Commit Genocide Over Opening of Iranian Oil Market
28 April 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsThe US media refuses to acknowledge that Iran plans on opening it’s Oil exchange up in EUROS beginning next week. The sanctions being placed on Iran through the UN will outlaw countries from using this market, thus keeping the US’ stranglehold on the oil markets who have traded solely in the US dollar up until now. US would lose $1 Trillion a year if this market is opened.
The United States committed genocide by doing the very same thing in Iraq. Over One Million people were killed. The (…) -
