"Let’s call the Israel lobby the Israel Lobby"
One of the consistent deformities in American policy debate has been challenged by a couple of professors, and the reaction proves their point so neatly it’s almost funny.
A working paper by John Mearsheimer, professor of political science at the University of Chicago, and Stephen Walt, professor of international affairs at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, called "The Israel Lobby" was printed in the (…)

House votes 397-21 for “Iran Freedom Support Act”
27 April 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
27 commentsAs if Iraq isn’t a big enough mess, the House of Representatives has just voted to ‘hold Iran accountable and support a transition to democracy’. Sound Familiar? Only this time Iran is a democracy. They just held an election where their president was actually elected by the people. How refreshing.
After everything that has been exposed...the lies, the profiteering, the long list of war crimes, 397 ‘Representatives’ gave Bush the go ahead on attacking Iran. Only 21 Patriots voted (…) -

GOD’ told him to invade and , listening to these inner voices, he dispatched his US armada to invade and occupy a sovereign nation state that did not pose the United States the slightest danger ..........GOD’ is now telling him to nuke Iran ......... 27 April 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsAustralia funded Saddam Hussein and thence the Iraqi insurgency to the tune of US$250 MILLION via a wheat sale kickback scam by monopoly company AWB (Australian Wheat Board). However despite the fact that everybody else involved, including Australian Intelligence, knew about the Iraqi kickback system, the Australian Government STILL denies having known. According to Opposition Leader Kim Beazley (a longstanding, loyal friend of America but opposed to the Iraq War): "I’m embarrassed as an (…)

Hamas took the office through democratic (…) -

Spring is being keenly awaited on Sakhalin in Russia’s far east after another long winter. But when it finally comes in June it offers little prospect of a thaw in relations between environmentalists and Shell.
With the melting of the ice after eight months, the Anglo-Dutch oil giant is set to enter a crucial offshore (…) -

The American public is being lulled into a false sense of insecurity. And insecurity, constructed or real, is what gives those in power - our purported protectors - their self-righteous aura of indispensability.
President Bush; Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld; the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Peter Pace; the head of the U.S. Central Command, Gen. John P. Abizaid; (…) -

While children continue to die twenty years after the Chernobyl catastrophe, an out-of-touch (and often corrupt) fringe advocates a "rebirth" for the failed technology that is killing them.
These pro-nuke die-hards seem unable to face the solution to both global warming and our economic future: the exploding revolution in renewable energy and (…) -
