    BUSH REASSURES THE PUBLIC

    It was reassuring to hear, over the past several days, that George Bush and Tony Blair had only the best of attentions toward Saddam Hussein. They both denied any nasty memo charging them with plotting war against Iraq. They both reassured their publics that they had only peaceful intentions. In fact, both of them used the word “peace” several times. Would they do that to mislead? Are we not reassured by their sincerity?

    The Downing Street Memo is the gift that just keeps on giving. And well it should. It is the smoking gun which proves that the gravest possible crime was committed by the Bush administration, and among its victims were the American people.

    It’s no longer a debatable issue. The ’Downing Street Memo’ proves the "fix" was in. Bush had plans to invade Iraq long before 9-11, all he needed was an excuse. So he ’fixed the facts.’

    Somehow, a real reporter slipped by Whitehouse security and asked Bush and Blair about the Downing Street Memo.
