I believe Dennis Kucinich,Russ Feingold and Cindy Sheenan deserves the JFK award, more than John Murtha by Sue West
In my opinion, Dennis Kucinich, Russ Feingold and Cindy Sheenan, deserves the JFK award, more so than Murtha does! While, Murtha’s recent stand to bring our troops home immediately is admiralable and commendable, and I totally agree with it, it’s easy when war is unpopular to be against it but it takes REAL "profiles in courage" to stand up and be against it (…) -

Washington, D.C. - On Thursday afternoon, May 18, 2006, over a hundred protesters, led by Cindy Sheehan, exercised a right older than the U.S. Constitution itself: the “Right of Petition.” The Right of Petition existed at Common Law and was re-declared in the “Assemble and Petition Clauses” of our First Amendment. Nevertheless, when the activists attempted to (…) -

Solidarity Street Demonstrations To Demand US Keep Hands Off Venezuela and Cuba
By Stephen Lendman
May 16, 2006
Maybe it’s just a coincidence that just days before an international expression of solidarity demanding the US keep its hands off Venezuela and Cuba, Rep. Dan Burton (a right wing Republican in good standing) introduced an anti-Venezuelan resolution in the US House of Representatives. His resolution on May 11 was just another step along the way in the Bush administration’s (…) -

“It is never too late for the masses to begin to hew their road to freedom. Pessimism and scepticism are luxuries for the few. The masses have no other choice except to fight for their lives and the future of their children.” - Felix Morrow, Revolution and Counter-revolution in Spain
In Venezuela things are moving at an incredible speed. The above quoted lines are very apt to describe the mood that exists here. When you (…) -

My apologies for sending round one of these here round robins but it is the best I can do in the time I have...
Well, there is simply TOO MUCH to tell you all about this revolution here, but perhaps the most important thing is that it is happening all over the country and is being carried forward not by the officials and bureaucrats but the ordinary people who through a massive effort of will and as an expression of love, conviction and (…)
