I’m listening to Neil Young’s new album, Living With War. It’s not my first time; I was lucky enough to be at a private listening last week in California. But now, along with millions of others connected to the Internet, I’m hearing it live today through my computer speakers, streaming for 24 hours, courtesy of Mr. Young and his absolutely brilliant bunch of guerrilla marketers and movement builders. Peace groups like True Majority smartly have seized on the moment to mobilize Young’s (…)

THERE IS NO CIVIL FLAG!

The Civil Flag is a hoax!
Not only that, but barefoot has outright LIES posted on his civil flag page! In fact, many of his pages contain multiple errors! It seems that he fails to research anything before posting it!
There is an Excellent Article with an in-depth investigation into the supposed "civil flag", which includes the history of the "Stars and Stripes", the "US Customs Flag", and the origins of the MTYH of the "civil flag":

Bill Moyers is president of the Schumann Center for Media and Democracy. The following remarks were delivered by Bill Moyers at the funeral service for William Sloane Coffin on Thursday, April 20, at Riverside Memorial Church in New York City.
There are so many of you out there who should be up here instead of me. You rode with Bill through the Deep South, chasing Jim Crow from long impregnable barriers imposed on freedom. You rose with Bill against the Vietnam War, were (…) -

Three years ago we were spending time together, every moment we could, building the type of relationship we would need to survive the unknown we were about to face.
It was our choice - going to war. Based on the information we had, and knowing that we don’t take our commitments lightly, we knew that we would face this duty to country together - the commitment we had made. Kevin to defend the constitution, the country and all that it represented as a volunteer in the (…) -
Fonda and "Sir" Support War Vets Then and Now
24 April 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
by Eugene Hernandez
Any indie filmmaker would love to have an Oscar winning actress hyping their new film; the presence of a celebrity can command serious media attention. This week, actress and activist Jane Fonda has been making the media rounds, from Good Morning America, Larry King Live, and The View, to an appearance at the IFC Center on Monday. While she is also hawking a paperback version of her recent memoir, Fonda has also been talking a bit about David Zeiger’s "Sir! No Sir!", (…) -

Conversations with Cindy Sheehan
23 April 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsRecently there has been some debate between Cindy Sheehan and Scott Ritter on the success (or lack there of) of the peace movement. Cindy Sheehan took offence at Ritter dissing the peace movement, but as everyone can see, we have gotten nowhere. A clear majority are now against this war. A clear majority want Bush impeached immediately. We are beyond critical mass, and yet the war drums are now beating for Iran. What has gone wrong?
While the ’peace movement’ is distracted by talking (…) -
Europe’s radical left is still struggling to articulate new strategies for social, economic and political change

The Emerging New Euroleft
by Hilary Wainwright Manchester
From my desk in the north of England, the grass seems considerably greener—or the poppies redder—across the water in Europe. Here in Britain political look-alikes compete frenetically for the center ground, and politicians of the radical left are sidelined by a grossly disproportionate electoral system. In contrast, Norway’s Left Socialist Party is part of the government; Italy’s radical Partito della Rifondazione Comunista (…)
