Do we really expect to read the paper tomorrow, a month from now, a year from now and expect no bad news out of Iraq? Apparently, several thousand Iraqis have made it a career choice to kill anything and anybody in the way of what they perceive to be justice. If we are going to pull out with our tail between our legs, shouldn’t we do it sooner rather than later?
Do we really think we are helping things over there? What are we waiting for?
Hell no. We are buying time to uninstall as much (…)

The January 7th Problem (News Article with Commentary)
10 January 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsJanuary 7th print and other media were quite subdued in regards to the historical significance of the electors challenge on January 6th, 2005. As this was the third time in U.S. history that such an electors challenge has ever taken place, I thought it would be interesting to see what happened after the second, over thirty five years ago. I went to the local library and printed a copy of the front page of our local paper dated Tuesday, January 7th, 1969. Low and behold on the front page was (…)

Senator Aces

3 commentsSenators:
Which of you senators will stand up and defend this Ohio Electoral Vote Count tomorrow? If you are experiencing hesitancy, just imagine if the situation were reversed and you needed to sign and swear that this election was remarkable in its uneventfulness. Would you? Could you?
Please share your evidence that we all can take confidence in what did not happen in the Buckeye State? You must have something that refutes the video-taped repression, exit polling aberrations, Warren (…) -
Wheel of Voter Resolution 2005
31 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
Four Wheel Of Voter WOV Challenges (still open!): Alas, we are ending 2004 with all four Wheel of Voter Challenges unsolved. The $1,000, $2,000, $500, and $100 prizes remain unclaimed, respectively. Let’s review how to win because on face value these challenges are not quite as hard as climbing Everest, solving perpetual motion, or curing the common cold:
1) Justify non-paper trail voting is better than paper-trail voting (ok, not so easy). _ A bit rhetorical.
2) Nerd heaven: Someone (…) -
A Republican in Boston

17 commentsRE: Group holds fast to Kerry cause with Beacon Hill vigil By Donovan Slack, Globe Staff (December 29, 2004) http://www.boston.com/news/...
by Robin Baneth
Yesterday, a member of the Boston Coalition Against Election Fraud — petitioning outside John Kerry’s home — tried to persuade a passerby to send a post card to Kerry urging the senator not to certify the electoral college results. The pedestrian replied that he was perfectly happy with the election results, being a Republican. ’’I (…) -
Sour Red Grapes: Contest 2004
29 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsIn a recent article regarding the Ohio re-count effort called "Election Lawsuits Not Constructive ," we hit upon that quirky expression employing that resonating image of sour grapes: "A substantial number of the complaints and lawsuits appear to be frivolous, serving no good purpose. Often, they sound like sour grapes complaints voiced by those who simply can’t cope with the fact that their candidates lost the election."
Yikes. Could this be true? Are we insane anti-fascists solely (…) -
Internet Vote Fraud: Means, Motive, and Opportunity

11 comments"Triad Governmental Systems, Inc. services voting tabulators via modem" is absolutely breathtaking to us in the Information Technology field. Triad non-chalantly used this modem method to reset machines in preparation for the Ohio recount. No doubt that this is a practical short-cut: Makes sense; it saves gas, time. In fact, this is the same mechanism that I — a computer consultant — use to support 200 computers spread out across North Carolina. It is now public record that Triad "legally (…)

New Wheel of VOTER "Challange" IV: $.1K, Last of 2004?
NEW $100 "CHALLANGE" (Bush spelling)
Due to the popularity (Ohio fax number created below!) of the last three Wheel of VOTER Challenges 2004 — in which paper-trail voting is unanimously preferred, indisputable machine hackability, and absence of any Democrat Diebold IT personnel — we at WVC headquarters now offer the following $100 opportunity for our easiest challenge yet:
We will send a $100 cashier’s check to the first FIVE (…) -
Clear Box Voting System 1.0
22 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsAs we all grow weary of the U.S. elections fiascoes over the last four years, courtesy of Ohio and Florida partisan Secretaries of States, I unveil your 2004 Christmas present. It is the brand new Clear Box Voting System, nice and boring (may need some egg nog): 1) Everyone gets a Voter ID number. Your social security card or your drivers license is your Voter ID card. Ok, so you already have your Voter ID card ... let’s vote.
2) It’s Election Day. You walk into a school auditorium, (…) -

NEW $500 CHALLENGE
Due to the popularity of the last two Wheel of VOTER Challenges 2004 — in which it was paper-trail voting emerged to have an unrivaled mandate and undetectable machine hackability became shockingly indisputable — we at WVC headquarters now offer the following $500 opportunity for an equally tantalizing issue:
We will send a $500 cashier’s check to the first Diebold or Tri Ad elections systems information technology employee who provides proof they:
a) Voted for Gore (…)
