The Chinese Protestor/Bush&Hu’s Dirty Evil Secret

I was intrigued with the Chinese protestor who stood up to two presidents.
The mainstream media tried to denigrate her as a "heckler" and some sort of
crazy fringe cult member. The fact is, This chinese protestor is a journalist
and a medical doctor, someone trying to let the world know what is happening in
China.

I heard an interview on NPR that described the imprisonment, torture and execution of political prisoners (people who disagree with the govt), primarily the Falon Gong.. Also about organ harvesting.
After doing the research, I feel that all of the world should hear about this.

Shamefully, our congress knows about this.

And to think, our biggest creditor (China) kills political prisoners and skins them, sometimes alive to sell their body parts.

"In June 2001, Wang Guoqi, a Chinese former military physician, told US congressmen he had worked at execution grounds helping surgeons to harvest the organs of more than 100 executed prisoners, without prior consent. The surgeons used converted vans parked near the execution grounds to begin dissecting the bodies, he told the house international relations committee’s human rights panel.

Skin was said to be highly valued for the treatment of burn victims, and Dr Wang said that in 1995 he skinned a shot convict’s body while the man’s heart was still beating."

"The British Transplantation Society says an accumulating weight of evidence suggests the organs of thousands of executed prisoners in China are being removed for transplants without consent.

Professor Stephen Wigmore, who chairs the society’s ethics committee,
told the BBC that the speed of matching donors and patients, sometimes as little as a week, implied prisoners were being selected before execution.

The Chinese authorities recently announced steps to tighten regulations. From July, selling organs will be illegal and all donors must give written permission.
But the practice is lucrative and critics say much will depend on how well those rules are implemented. "

Brownback Urges China to Cease Harvesting Organs from Condemned Prisoners
Joined by Bipartisan Group of 27 Members of Congress

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Sam Brownback yesterday joined a bipartisan group of 27 members of Congress in sending a letter to Chinese President Hu Jintao calling for the Chinese government to immediately stop its practice of harvesting organs from condemned Chinese prisoners.

"I urge the Chinese to abide by international medical and ethical norms and immediately stop harvesting organs from executed prisoners," said Brownback.

According to China’s Ministry of Health, since 1993 there have been over 65,000 transplant procedures performed in China. According to China’s Deputy Health Minister, 95 percent of the organs for organ transplants performed in China are from Chinese prisoners.

"I know of no other country in the world that has such a policy," Brownback continued. "I have heard reports that executions are being scheduled based on the demand for organs, rather than based on the status of the prisoner’s case. This practice challenges many international human rights norms."

The letter was sent in advance of President Hu’s April 20th meeting with President Bush at the White House. Brownback also hopes that President Bush will use the opportunity to raise other key human rights issues like the treatment of North Korean refugees, ongoing religious persecution of Chinese citizens, and the legal protection and rights of prisoners of conscience such as Hao Wu and Dr. Yang Jianli and many others.

Senator Brownback sits on the State and Foreign Operations Appropriations Subcommittee.
