Friends in Deed: The United States and Iraq Before the Persian Gulf War
The scandal that came to be called "Iraqgate" first attracted widespread public attention in 1990, in the aftermath of Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait and the ensuing Persian Gulf war. The invasion followed a decade in which two successive U.S. administrations had viewed improvement of U.S.-Iraq relations as an important tenet of U.S. foreign policy, and had engaged in extensive trade with that country in pursuit (…)

Rescuing the USA

27 commentsHow do we take her back from the wolves and jackals and what steps should we be planning to rid her of the cancers and chancres which right wing extremists have infested her with?
If the USA is rescued from the wolves an jackals who are raping and devouring her, what will we have to do to salvage what remains? How many deregulated industries, categories, activities will have to be re-regulated? How many taxes will have to be re-instated? How many criminal politicians will we have to try, (…) -

7 commentsFor two hours, truth once again became a virtue in Washington, DC. The second-annual Ron Ridenhour Awards—sponsored by the Fertel Foundation and The Nation Institute and named after the whistle-blower who exposed the My Lai massacre in Vietnam—honored New Yorker reporter Seymour Hersh, author Adrian Nicole LeBlanc and housewife-turned-activist Kristin Breitweiser for their achievements in "truth-telling."
Breitweiser found herself widowed at age thirty when her husband Ron died at Tower (…) -

Here you will find hi-resolution video of the (obvious) demolition of World Trade Center Seven and of the (less obvious) demolition of the Towers. The Naudet brothers stunning footage of the first plane hitting the North tower is also presented (at least one of the brothers quite clearly knew the first aircraft was about to hit the North Tower) together with less well known footage of the first plane hitting the tower, accidently (…) -

7 commentsIraq: The Trail of Disinformation What Really Happened
April 21, 2005
Let’s start with a simple fact. The United States invaded and conquered Iraq on the basis of lies. Even the official report of the United States Senate < http://www.infowars.com/print/iraq/war_on_alie.htm > admits as much. So, where did all this bad information come from? While the culprits would like to pin the blame on the Central Intelligence Agency, the facts point in a different direction. To cite just one (…) -

The new Pope alias the Despicable Joseph Ratzinger was the leading Vatican player promoting Bush Junior’s election campaign last year. JR issued an edict to the American hierarchy instructing them that the supreme issue in the US election of 2004 was the use of police powers to lock up abortionists. JR made it clear to US Catholics that the Vatican preferred the candidacy of George Bush, supposedly on that ground.
US Catholics voted for Bush over Kerry by a margin of (…) -

Roath, a pastor at a small church in Slater, Missouri, is now leading the effort to bring more information about the military to students at her daughter’s high school in the nearby town of Marshall. “I feel my husband and many, many other soldiers were used for the financial gain of those in power,” says the 41-year-old mother of five “I find a lot of scriptural support (…)

Howard Dean continues to perpetuate Republican Lies-Warns of danger of Iraq pullout
21 April 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
12 comments"Now that we’re there, we’re there and we can’t get out," he told an audience of nearly 1,000 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. "The president has created an enormous security problem for the United States where none existed before. But I hope the president is incredibly successful with his policy now that he’s there."
An American pullout could endanger the United States in any of three ways, Dean said: by leaving a Shiite theocracy worse than that in Iran, which he called a more (…) -

11 commentsBacking Democrats has pulled the antiwar movement to the right Why “inside-outside” is getting nowhere
ELIZABETH SCHULTE explains why the antiwar movement has to remain independent from the Democratic Party.
FOR OPPONENTS of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, there was a big question hanging in the air in the wake of the 2004 election. How could George Bush—the man behind the war that so many people protested—be re-elected?
Unfortunately, many on the left have offered answers that are less (…)
