Yesterday, I spoke with Giuliana Sgrena by telephone from Rome, where she is recovering from the injuries she suffered as a result of the shooting. I began by asking her reaction to the Pentagon report.
GIULIANA SGRENA: Yes, for the moment we have not an official result of the reports, but we have some rumors about the conclusion of the report, so I am very sad about that because I was - is words that I was waiting. I thought that maybe the Americans will spoke of accident or something (…)

8 commentsWashington (rpo). Excitement in the white house: Because of a terror alarm US president Bush was brought at the Wednesday evening into the shelter. The excitement was put down however soon: It was a false alarm. The incident now becomes examined.
According to the news Bushs press speaker Scott McClellan had been released the alarm, because allegedly an not identified airplane had penetrated into the prohibited area over the white house.
According to McClellan the president worked at this (…) -

Searching for the truth is ugly, frightening and dangerous - and the only worthwhile choice
By John Kaminski skylax@comcast.net
Maybe I’m already sufficiently hunkered down; safely ensconced in my leaky trailer; barricaded against the onslaughts to come; insulated from the contrived catastrophes that get worse with each new assault; prepared for the biological barrage our masters have scheduled for us to cull this feckless human herd and make their sinister (…) -
My Election 2004 Bad Dream
27 April 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
5 commentsOn a recent flight to Nashville, I sat next to a man who asked what I was writing. Preparing a talk, I told him, for a conference of people sharing evidence that the 2004 presidential election was stolen. Without missing a beat, he asked. "Isn’t that next door to the convention on UFO sightings?"
I wasn’t surprised. We’ve been painted as conspiracy theorists and worse by Democrats and Republicans alike, and even the liberal arm of the press has steered clear of this issue. But when I (…) -

1 commentThe United States has expressed concern over Manila’s move to bring home all Filipino workers from Iraq amid increasing insurgency there, Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo said Tuesday.
Romulo said US Embassy officials have raised the issue several times since Manila offered to fly home the estimated 6,000 Filipino workers after two died in apparent attacks earlier this month.
The Filipinos represent the biggest number of foreigners working for US-run military installations in (…) -

26 April 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
12 commentsNEW YORK Half of all Americans, exactly 50%, now say the Bush administration deliberately misled Americans about whether Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, the Gallup Organization reported this morning.
"This is the highest percentage that Gallup has found on this measure since the question was first asked in late May 2003," the pollsters observed. "At that time, 31% said the administration deliberately misled Americans. This sentiment has gradually increased over time, to 39% in July (…) -

15 commentsInterview with Naomi Klein on Democracy now about her conversation with Giuliana Sgrena...
"She told me a lot about the incident that I had not fully understood from the reports in the press. One of the most - and at first, the other thing I want to be really clear about is that Giuliana is not saying that she’s certain in any way that the attack on the car was intentional.
She is simply saying that she has many, many unanswered questions, and there are many parts of her direct (…) -
Who’s Next ?

9 commentsThree capital cities have been bombed recently - Baghdad, Kabul and Belgrade - in a ten-year period, with the nations responsible, the US and UK, evincing no discernible signs of guilt. Twenty-three nations have been bombed by the US since WW2, from Japan in 1945 to Afghanistan in ’99 and recently Iraq- that’s one nation per three years. That’s fourteen percent of all UN member-states. Not one of these attacks had a shred of legality under international law, each was a criminal act. Over (…)
