United States to begin Chemical Warfare operations in Afghanistan
4 October 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
The United States is planing to implement a massive chemical-spraying program in Afghanistan, emulating the failed Plan Columbia program that has been in operation for the last decade in Latin American.
“The recent appointment of a former US ambassador to Colombia as envoy to Kabul is seen as the most overt move by Washington to ensure that spraying takes place in Afghanistan. William Wood, who has acquired the nickname ‘Chemical Bill’ among British and other Nato officials for his (…) -

SPIEGEL: The long-awaited results of the "surge" are now in. Has the surge succeeded? Is there reason for optimism in Iraq?
KOLKO: Both United States Gen. David H. Petraeus and U.S. Ambassador Ryan C. Crocker will deliver (…)
