Watching Keith Olbermann tonight, I learned that Karl Rove said something nauseatingly dishonest when asked about the decision to go to war in Iraq. When asked whose idea it was to launch a preemptive war in Iraq, Rove replied - and I’m not making this up - "I think it was Osama bin Laden’s."
OK. I wish that I had made that one up, but I can’t honestly say that it really surprised me. Rove has revealed, time after time, that he has absolutely no scruples when it comes to pushing his point (…)

BBC=Warmongers & War Criminals
19 April 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
The BBC’s approach to war and world affairs is, first and foremost, a reflection of the British puppet state’s viewpoint. It is questionable that the BBC was ever an independent organization. But, along with the widespread damage to civil and judicial freedoms caused by the noxious Blair de facto dictatorship, the BBC’s reputation has dropped to an all-time low of news-whoring.
Regular readers of this blog will know that I am constantly warning them that the Mainstream Media (MSM) in both (…) -
Why Virginia Tech killings happened
19 April 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
Yet another rampage has occurred at a school, this time leaving 33 people dead at Virginia Tech—the worst such incident ever at a U.S. college campus.
The news media seem stunned and surprised, yet their coverage sounds so similar to the stories about Columbine eight years ago. They dwell on the personality of the young man the police say did the shooting, before killing himself. They talk about him being a “loner,” depressed, perhaps angry at women.
But aren’t there lonely and depressed (…) -
Media Bias: Dead Students Trump Dead Soldiers

3 commentsI wanted to get this post up a day ago, but the rigors of competing in the great American fiction writing contest, otherwise known as the federal income tax filing deadline (yeah, I know, I’m a procrastinator), and some interesting research into dream theory kept me more than busy enough yesterday.
The 33 deaths at Virginia Tech are surely a tragedy worthy of our attention, remorse and sharing in the grief of the families of the victims. The murder rampage was an horrific act perpetrated (…) -
"Shared Values"?
15 April 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsYesterday, Gordon (he does that funny thing with his mouth like a frog) Brown, Britain’s Blair-in-waiting, got to meet that guy doing an illegal squat at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Naturally, the BBC made a big thing about it, speculating on its significance and timing.
Frogface is interviewed during which he emphasises the "special values" shared between the two countries. Given the widespread anger and disenchantment that the average Brit feels for the Blair-Brown oligarchy and its (…) -

In the months leading up to President Bush’s ill-fated invasion of Iraq, I traveled around the world speaking to various international groups, including many parliamentary assemblies. I spoke about democracy and the need of any nation or group of nations espousing democracy as a standard to embrace the ideals and values of justice and due process in accordance with the rule of law. I spoke of international law, especially as it was manifested in the charter of the United (…) -
"Suicide Bombings" - The Cover Story For US Military Ops In Iraq

3 commentsApril 13, 2007
"Suicide bombings" are a daily occurrence in Iraq, and are the major propaganda tool used by the US government and its mainstream media to convince the world that there is still some "freedom and Democracy" work to be done by US troops in Iraq. But what if they are a cover for something else?

There is a Palestinian farmer named Mohammed Abdel Aziz Sabatin who faces daily harassment from Israeli settlers from Bettar Illit. He has already lost much of his land due to the fact that it was confiscated to build the illegal settlement. Now, the settlers spend much of their time engaging in traditional Jewish cultural activities, like burning down his olive trees. The last time they tried it, the fire got out of hand, and the settlement itself had to send (…) -
Iran May Be The Greatest Crisis Of Modern Times
13 April 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
5 commentsIn a cover piece for the New Statesman, John Pilger evokes the memory of Germans ’looking from the side’ at Bergen-Belsen to describe the challenge facing us in the West as the Bush/Blair ’long war’ becomes ’perhaps the greatest crisis of modern times’. The Israeli journalist Amira Hass describes the moment her mother, Hannah, was marched from a cattle train to the Nazi concentration camp at Bergen-Belsen. "They were sick and some were dying," she says. "Then my mother saw these German women (…)
