Tick ... Tick ... Tick (2007)
"No man is an island, entire of itself," wrote John Donne. "...[A]ny man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

“Pro Surge” Mikulski Is Paving the Way for Hillary!
8 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
“The U.S. military announced the deaths of 11 more U.S. troops in Iraq.” - AP Report, May 7, 2007
“She has literally ‘paved’ the way for me and countless other women who now serve in the Congress,” gushed the want-to-be president, Sen. Hillary “War Lite” Clinton (D-NY). Bubba Bill’s other half was referring to Sen. Barbara “Pro Surge” Mikulski (D-MD), who had just proclaimed her support last month for Clinton’s candidacy. Mikulski has, indeed, done a lot of ‘paving,’ while pretending to (…) -
Complicit Democrats Ripped at Pro Peace Rally
4 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
1 comment“We must guard against the...unwarranted influence of...the Military-Industrial Complex.” — President Dwight D. Eisenhower
Baltimore, MD - At center/city’s Mt. Vernon Square, on May 3, 2007, a rally and march was held to protest the Bush-Cheney Gang’s Iraqi War and the insane “Surge” strategy to perpetuate that conflict. It took place in the shadow of the first monument built in this country to honor the memory of America’s most beloved patriot, George Washington. State Delegate Jill P. (…) -
Bush’s War by Military Families Speak Out Ohio
3 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
Perhaps if Mr. Bush had been more involved during his time of military service, he would have a better appreciation for the hardships endured by military families. When the president threatens our loved ones by forcing them past the point of human endurance, military families will not remain silent. Most military families know the war and occupation of Iraq is a violation of the military core values that we teach American soldiers and sailors. The supporters of this war repeatedly attempt (…)

BUSH’s PIPEDREAM: TO WIN IN IRAQ
2 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
8 commentsNobody seems to understand exactly what Bush means by "winning" in Iraq. Perhaps this is what he means:
We must completely rebuild the infrastructure...which we previously pormised to do and on which we wasted 10s of billions. Hell, the contractors who did the shoddy "work" have now even avoid income tax!
We’ll need to stop gun and drug smuggling, and the theft and sale of OIL on the black market. No problem!
We’ll need to get the 2 million Iraqi professionals who fled Iraq to return (…) -
Divide and conquer then encircle and kill
1 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsSince the early day of invading Iraq, the USA policy has been following the old invaders wisdom," divide and conquer". Thus they have divided the Iraqis according to two contradicting rules; sectarian groups as Sunnis , sheit, Christians, and ethnic groups as Arabs, Kurds, Turkmen,....
Among the Arabs the division rule was seatrain as Sunni and sheits, while among the Sunnis the rule is changed to Arab, Kurds and Turkmen. It is well known that the majority of the Kurds are Muslim Sunni, (…) -
La Brea Tar Pits: A Metaphor for the America Republic?
1 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
1 comment“It is truly frightening what is going on in this country.” - Ex. Rep. Bob Barr (R-GA)
Los Angeles, CA - It is one of the most visited sites in the U.S. The La Brea Tar Pits, aka “The Page Museum,” is located on famed Wilshire Boulevard, in an area known as the “Miracle Mile District.” Its 23 acres contain millions of fossils of prehistoric animals that were “trapped and preserved” in the asphalt between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago, according to the institution. (1) The findings represent (…) -
More Show Trials in Blair’s Corrupt Britannia
1 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
Blair’s grey old, Ahrimanic Britain is becoming a place of regular show trials, the kind which befits the totalitarian state which it has become, particularly in the last ten years of his neocon brand of fascism.
Today, on evidence that a decade ago would have been thrown out as circumstantial, the latest in Blair’s show trials ended with five Muslims being convicted of a bomb plot conspiracy. These days the judges know better than to challenge politicians. The politicization of the (…) -
Why Military Families Work for Peace
30 April 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
Today a woman called me. She saw our chapter’s web site, and reached me as the contact person. She left a simple message on my answering machine, telling me that her son was headed to his third deployment.
I spoke to her a little while ago, and it was hard to hold the tears back until I was done. She could not hold hers back. She told me about her son. He deployed early in the war, and the first night he was there, he was deployed on night patrol, not in a tank or any armored vehicle, but (…) -
Corrupt Britannia sinks below the Waves
29 April 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
The British establishment is reeling with scandals. We can only hope that this signals its terminal implosion, something which should have occurred half a century ago.
Like a terrier with its teeth embedded deep into the ankles of the Royal Family, billionaire Mohammed Al-Fayed continues with a determined campaign to expose Prince Philip and Prince Charles as being the architects of Princess Diana’s death. Whether or not Diana was pregnant by Al-Fayed’s son, Dodi, he insists that neither (…)
