3 commentsMy good pal (name withheld by my request) has a pat explanation for everything Bush has and will do.
Regarding the 2000 and 2004 election claims of rigging: "This sort of talk is mad. Pure tinfoil hat stuff. No proof whatsoever"
Regarding Cheney’s secret energy meetings with Enron and others: "The VP has every right to secrecy. We don’t want the enemy to know who’s getting contracts, do we?"
Regarding Bush lying us into war:
"This is the old Liberal Left wing claim and is absolutely (…) -

(The "President Kerrey" he refers to is, alas, former Senator Bob Kerrey who is president of the New School, not future US President John Kerry.)
This is not a speech. Two weeks ago I set aside the speech I prepared. This is a cry from the heart, (…) -

A few months ago, I was in Washington, D.C., working as an extra in a movie. Hollywood loves to shoot films in the nation’s Capital because of its ambiance. Robert De Niro, a brilliant actor, was directing the flick called, “The Good Shepherd.” It has to do with the origins of the CIA. World Can’t Wait just announced their next major protest- October. Anyone else think that’s a little funny?
Last year the Downing Street Memo came out on May 1st, soon after UFPJ announced the big rally for Sept 24th. Why do they always skip over the summer months? Because that’s when the weather is nice, and people might actually have the time to camp and stay.
The crooks in power don’t care if we schedule another weekend protest- the one thing they don’t want is an extended protest (…) -

NEOCONMEN: Their Utopian Dream
9 May 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
There has been much published lately about the Neocons (Perle, Wolfowitz,Feith,Cristol et al) and their lamentable and abject failure to implement the P.N.A.C. scenario (Project for a New American Century). Don’t believe it. Their enthusiasm hasn’t waned, it’s just temporarily in limbo.
When one considers their dream it really is Utopian in a way, and absurdly optimistic in it’s aims and aspirations.
Did anybody really believe the dream? Yes! Here’s what they hoped would happen: (…)
