On May 16th I was invited to participate in a Congressional Briefing hosted by Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, at the Longworth Office Building, Washington DC. This briefing was to call attention to Conscientious Objection and Military Recruitment practices. The Briefing was re-broadcast twice on C-Span TV, and is scheduled to be shown again on C-Span this weekend. It has been broadcast on C-Span Radio as well. I have attached a transcript of Kevin’s and my statements as I (…)

I believe Dennis Kucinich,Russ Feingold and Cindy Sheenan deserves the JFK award, more than John Murtha by Sue West
In my opinion, Dennis Kucinich, Russ Feingold and Cindy Sheenan, deserves the JFK award, more so than Murtha does! While, Murtha’s recent stand to bring our troops home immediately is admiralable and commendable, and I totally agree with it, it’s easy when war is unpopular to be against it but it takes REAL "profiles in courage" to stand up and be against it (…) -
Should Noam Chomsky Reset His Compass?

Recently I read the book: “Imperial Ambitions: Conversations on the Post-9/II World,” (2005, Metropolitan Books),” which contains interviews by David Barsamian with Noam Chomsky on a wide range of issues, including the Iraqi War. I was deeply disappointed with it. Not because there wasn’t a lot of solid analysis in it. There was. My misgivings dealt with what was left out of the paperback. If the comedian Stephen Colbert (…) -

Report from the european network after the seminars, working sessions and Assembly on Palestine during the ESF in Athens, conducted with the participation of Palestinians civil society representatives and Israeli anticolonialist activists.
The occupation system on Palestine is achieving a new stage. Israel is implementing its strategy in order to achieve its own unilateral solution completing the building of an apartheid system. The total isolation of Gaza is part of this system.

OUR PURPOSE
To help reclaim the honor of the United States of America
Instilled by the Cadet Honor System with a fundamental, longstanding respect for truth, we graduates of the United States Military Academy believe that honor is a basic attribute of character. That we are no longer cadets is irrelevant. We stand appalled by the deceitful behavior of the government of the United States and, in particular, its widely known malefactors. (…) -

Ray McGovern Is Going to Rumsfeld’s House
22 May 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
By David Swanson
Ray McGovern wasn’t aiming to make Donald Rumsfeld stutter and stammer like a kid caught cheating on a test when he asked him last week why he’d lied us into a war. That was just a side benefit. Ray wants answers, and he’s taking his demand to Donald Rumsfeld’s house in Washington, D.C.
On Thursday, May 18, a large coalition of groups is planning to deliver to the White House all the signatures and comments posted on a petition at www.DontAttackIran.org As the name of (…) -
Democratic tyranny & media lying re 1.8 million Afghan War deaths & Australia, Bush, Blair betrayal
21 May 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsAustralian Prime Minister Howard is touring the world carrying a message of blind loyalty to the Bush Administration and unrelenting support ("stay the course") for the criminal Bush Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Mainstream Media have reported the honours lavished on Howard by the war criminal Bush Administration and the extreme right-wing minority Canadian Harper Government (which has recently extended the Canadian presence in Occupied Afghanistan despite majority popular opposition).
