Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH), Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, gave the following speech today on the House floor:
“Nearly thirteen hundred brave American men and women have sacrificed their lives in Iraq. Yet the central reasons for the US invasion have fallen apart: Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction. No proof that Iraq was instrumental with Al Queda’s role in 9/11. Iraq was not trying to get nuclear materials from (…)

2 commentsTORONTO, December 8 (IslamOnline.net & News Agencies) - Two US soldiers have applied for political asylum in Canada in protest at the atrocities committed by the US army in Iraq and Afghanistan, hoping to capitalize on the country’s opposition to US President George W Bush’s foreign policy.
In graphic testimonies to a Canadian tribunal, former Marine Sergeant Jimmy Massey and fugitive paratrooper Jeremy Hinzman have argued that they could not tolerate killing innocent civilians in Iraq (…) -

David T Johnson,
Acting ambassador,
US Embassy, London
Dear Mr Johnson, On November 26, your press counsellor sent a letter to the Guardian taking strong exception to a sentence in my column of the same day. The sentence read: "In Iraq, US forces and their Iraqi surrogates are no longer bothering to conceal attacks on civilian targets and are openly eliminating anyone - doctors, clerics, journalists - (…) -

5 commentsWe’re in a "war of civilizations" - and not just against Islam
by Justin Raimondo
The U.S. effort to export "democracy" to Ukraine has some skeptics of interventionism baffled and confused. A seeming throwback to the Soviet era, Leonid Kuchma, and his chosen heir, ward-heeler Viktor Yanukovich, were widely perceived as having stolen the election, and the Ukrainian Supreme Court, supposedly a tool of the regime, agreed. While one may argue about which side engaged in election fraud, and (…) -
Why are confederate cult Christians BRAGGING about the rape of Fallugah?
7 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
By Jane Stillwater
http://jpstillwater.blogspot.com "American troops took Fallugah by storm this week," bragged the evening news. "Airplanes strafed insurgents and tanks rolled through the streets." Why would people who actually call themselves Christians want to make the rape of Fallugah sound like a GOOD thing? You would think, after reading the teachings of Jesus every day like they claim to do, that they would have the good grace to shut up about it. **** Every (…) -

1 commentThe US-led coalition forces in Afghanistan are working on a military base near the country’s western border with Iran.
Locals told the Pajhwok news agency that US forces have been sketching and surveying the land for two months for a 300-hectare airbase in the desert area of Holang, in Ghorian district of Herat province, just 45 kilometres from the Iranian frontier.
Some military commentators believe the development could be linked to rising tensions between the United States and Iran, (…) -

2 commentsThe glory days of NASA are over! Today the Military Industrial Complex is marching towards world dominance through Space technology on behalf of global corporate interest. To understand how and why the space program will be used to fight all future wars on earth from space, it’s important to understand how the public has been misled about the origins and true purpose of the Space Program.

A call for civial disobedience ...
6 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
It hurts to see more and more Iraqis are killing themselves for foreign interests
or the treacherous interims government lead by Alawi.
The solution:
All Iraqis should not to take jobs in police or armed forces.
All Iraqis should stop to fight themselves - making the nationalization of this
war impossible.
Leave this unjust war in the hands of the war criminals of USA/Britain.
Report any Iraqi casualty to the international sources which can be trusted.
It was no coincidence that (…) -

A Soldier’s View of the Iraq War

3 commentsI am a manipulated stooge who sold his soul to exploit the ignorant with the proud lies our own leaders.
I am told on a regular basis "The Army is not like it used to be." Most of the lifers think that the military lacks discipline and blame the new "Nintendo generation" soldiers for the weakness.
However, I think a hard look should be given at the uses of America’s advanced military in the modern era. Due to the operations the military has been tasked in the last forty years, the (…)
