.A Message From The Iraq Resistance
"We are simple people who chose principles over fear."
People of the world! These words come to you from those who up to the day of the invasion were struggling to survive under the sanctions imposed by the criminal regimes of the U.S. and Britain .
We are simple people who chose principles over fear.
We have suffered crimes and sanctions, which we consider the true weapons of mass destruction.
Years and years of agony and despair, while the (…)

Finally Some Common Sense

New York Times journalist Eric Schmitt reported today (December 14, 2004) that the Air Force is finally taking control of supply transportation in Iraq via airlifts. For months now, U.S. troops had been expected to transport supplies via ground transports through dangerous terrain where they were regularly attacked and killed. It was bad enough that they had been asked to travel on these routes at all for such routine and non-combat related missions, and without armor for (…) -

BAGHDAD — The U.S. military has been preventing delivery of medical care in several instances, medical staff say.
Iraqi doctors at many hospitals have reported raids by coalition forces. Some of the more recent raids have been in Amiriyat al-Fallujah, about 10km to the east of Fallujah, the town to which U.S. forces have laid bloody siege. Amiriyat al-Fallujah has been the source of several reported resistance attacks on U.S. forces.

Dear Secretary Rumsfeld,
For more than a year, now, I have corresponded with you several times seeking basic protective equipment for our troops, including body armor and uparmored Humvees. In your responses, you expressed to me your commitment to protecting our troops. However, your callous remarks yesterday call that commitment into serious question.

Deserters Are Heroes

Today let us take the sad, sordid case of one George W. Bush. Our president. Love him or hate him, it was he and he alone who decided that our mighty armies should travel to Iraq and kill tens of thousands of people, most of whom were guilty of nothing more than being there.
Like egomaniacal rulers forever, dating back to the cave, Mr. Bush demonized the people he wanted to kill. They have "weapons of mass destruction," he asserted. Yeah, like we don’t. Like India (…) -
Ten U.S. troops were killed in Iraq fighting
13 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
7 commentsTen U.S. troops were killed in three separate incidents yesterday in Iraq as coalition forces battled guerrillas in Baghdad, Mosul, Kirkuk and the western Anbar providence, a hotbed of terrorism.
Eight Marines died during two "security and stabilization operations" near Fallujah.
It was the bloodiest day for U.S. Marines since a car bomb in Fallujah killed eight on Oct. 30.
Earlier yesterday, an Army soldier was killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad’s Haifa Street district.

Rumsfeld Query No Shock to Soldier’s Wife

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Regina Wilson wasn’t entirely surprised to see her ex-husband, a guardsman bound for Iraq, on television Wednesday challenging Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld with a tough question.
"He is always like that," she said. "I don’t think he understands the concept of biting one’s tongue. It wouldn’t matter if it was (President) Bush himself standing there. He would have dissed him the same."
Army Spc. Thomas Wilson, a 31-year-old member of a Tennessee (…) -
Rebellion in the Ranks. Facing down Rummy

It was a Maalox moment for Donald Rumsfeld. At a forum held with U.S. troops in Kuwait who are headed to Iraq, the barrage of friendly fire soon scored a direct hit when a scout with the Tennessee National Guard, one Specialist Thomas Wilson, rose, and, his voice confident and clear but with an undertone of bafflement, asked:
"We’ve had troops in Iraq for coming up on three years and we’ve always staged here out of Kuwait. Now why do we soldiers have to dig through (…) -

Fresh allegations about a regime of torture and humiliation inflicted on detainees by their American captors at Guantánamo Bay have been made by a Briton still held there, according to Foreign Office documents seen by the Guardian.
The claims by Martin Mubanga, from London, are the latest to surface from the prison where the US holds 550 Muslim men it claims are terrorists in conditions that have sparked worldwide condemnation.
Mr Mubanga, 31, alleges that (…) -
"Because We Are Jews"

There are those who ask us why we march with the Palestinians. Why do we raise the Palestinian flag? Why do we support the Palestinian cause?
“You are Jews!” they tell us. "What are you doing?"
And our response is very simple:
It is precisely because we are Jews that we march with the Palestinians and raise their flag!
It is precisely because we are Jews that we demand that the Palestinian peoples be returned to their homes and properties!
Yes, in our (…)
