Il presidente della Repubblica Bolivariana del Venezuela, Hugo Chávez Frias è senz’altro l’uomo dell’anno 2005. Meno di 13 mesi fa concedeva a chi scrive un’intervista (che potete leggere qui) che all’osservatore neutrale poteva apparire al massimo il grande libro dei sogni di un visionario.

Un indigeno presidente di un paese popolato da indigeni. Un risultato preoccupante, no?
Sì, se si rappresenta una multinazionale nordamericana che pretende di portar via il gas naturale boliviano ad un terzo del prezzo di mercato.
No, se si è un contadino andino che vive sopra un’immensa bolla di quel gas, ma di questo gas non può beneficiarsi e deve disboscare alberi per riscaldarsi o cucinare.
